in the hospital today ..

We had to go to the hospital for DH to have his pre-op checks. These are carried out in the same place as the ante natal clinic (for reasons best known to the British Health System)

so .. all the mums and mums to be are sitting chatting in the waiting room. Then one of them comes out with the fact that she is pregnant with her 15th baby

She was 43 years old - her eldest was 26 - she had 6 grandchildren and was due with her 15th in 2 weeks time.

DH and I just sat there looking at each other with our mouths hanging open.

OMG. I can't even begin to imagine. How can you even remember all their names when you have 15 kids? Boggles my mind, but if they are loved and taken care of, then God Bless them.

Oh wow that is a lot! I teach a little girl who is the 11th of 12 children in her family

Ugh. Amazing. My great grandmother had 17 kids, but that was in the early part of the 20th century. Can't even imagine.

Not for me! But my DH is #10 of 13. Yep - 13 kids in 15 years. And I got the perfect 10.

Oh wow. I'm speechless. I can barely manage my three some days. I couldn't imagine having 15 kids.

I think if I didn't have to actually push those babies out I'd have a few more!!! I love kids, I kind of even like being preggers with them...I just don't like the actual birthing of them!!!
