I MUST have Lightroom! I've only played with it for 1 day, and I already know I can't live without it, lol!

I have so many pics from our trip to the DR and quite a few I was really disappointed in because my camera settings were off a little bit. I tried fixing one that was really blue and dark in PSE and nothing helped, and I was so sad. I opened it up in Lightroom and I am SO impressed and amazed and I LOVE my photo!

What do you think - before & after of the shot I couldn't save in PSE:

I have a few favorites that look pretty good SOOC but I played with them too, and they look even better now! I didn't play too much with this one, but I think it pops more now:

And I officially sold DH on letting me buy the program (after April when 3 comes out) because he watched me do this photo:

This program is freaking A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!
 
Yeah, I LOVE Lightroom! I pretty much do all of my post processing with LR and PSE is only used for scrapping now.

Your edits look great too!

Funny thing about her hair... I thought it was losing its curl because its only wavy here in Canada. Within an hour of getting to the DR it curled up into tight ringlets because of the humidity. How I hate winter dryness!! Her poor hair is now all straight/wavy and static all over (it started straightening within an hour of getting on the plane to come home). Sigh.
 
Andrew was sold on LR the same way. I made him watch me edit photos and he was just floored by what LR could do. He had me order it that day. :) I'm hoping to upgrade to 3 in April, just not sure if the $$ will be available.
 
Awesome stuff Jae!! That's fantastic!! I have to see how much the upgrade is going to cost me, but I do LOOOOOOVE LR :)
 
I'm planning to upgrade to LR3 once the final version is released too, I never upgraded to LR2 because I had *just* bought LR1 when it came out! Luckily DH is a teacher so I can get it for under $100 with his educators discount.

Yes, but that's silly. Go to the adobe labs site and get teh beta version of LR3, then just buy it when it comes out in April. Otherwise you're paying twice when you don't need to.
 
Unfortunately Adobe doesn't do the free/discounted upgrades to the newer version of Lightroom like they offer for some of their other products. That's why I didn't upgrade from LR1 to LR2, but like Col said just use the free Beta version and then purchase it once they finalize it :)
 
oh wow!! awesome edits!!

I want to try lightroom sooo bad bad but i have to upgrade my mac os because it won't install on the one i'm currently using :( *pout*
 
my husband (a photographer) swears by lightroom, its all he uses!! I don't, but I love his result :p
 
Lightroom rocks! Version 3 looks really cool too, but we'll probably wait on the upgrade for a while since I just had to get a new laptop. But 3 has more sharpening controls which I love since that is my ONE complaint about LR.
