I'm scared--RE: Chipboard albums!

Am I going to be addicted to these????? I placed a "small" order on chipboard albums just now to make sure I actually use them before I really stock up... but am I going to like it too much?? I sure wish Michaels or Joanns would carry them! I can't wait to do some! I want to see more examples too!! I guess I could browse the gallery huh. :)

Sarah-I am JUST now making my very first one and I have albums and all the fun stuff and have had it for weeks, I think my biggest thing is time, right now I just don't have a ton of extra time.
I figure I will be READY to go in the summer when I am home all day.

Dani and Traci both told me it is addicting, and knowing that I have an addiction prone personality it worries me a bit too.
Amber just posted a bunch of hers today you should check out her gallery!

Oh, I'll check out Amber's gallery.

Yeah, I am afraid of the time thing! I mean, I am home all day. :) With demanding little ones... but I feel like I spend a lot of time on CT stuff sometimes. That's why I'm started small. I'd like to think I'll have the album pages all ready for when I get the actual chipboard part. Guess we'll see!

Oh it is SO addicting! I think at this point Robin probably knows my address from shipping to me so often... LOL!

And this is why I have not done one yet!!!! Got all the supplies, just afraid to start...I know I will not be able to stop........

I got officially chipboard album ready tonight.

Got me some mod podge (speaking with annoying slang voice here), matte photo paper (which apparently is rarely made these days it took me forever to find it), new ink cartridges, and some sorta acid free sealant spray. Even dug out the fiskars scissors and picked up some ricac. And I'm scared to touch it. I don't want to ruin them, they're so pretty LOL

i am really intimidated by the chipboard albums! i haven't tried any yet, but i am sure once you dive in they are great! =) let us know.

LOL, ME TOO!!! I sit and stare at it.....maybe I'll start tomorrow! I guess it would make a good mothers day gift!

chipboard

HEY! It's only "paper" (or chipboard--LOL) What is the worst that can happen? You can always glue something over it! Some "mistakes" actually survive to become great discoveries. I LOVE the chipboard stuff! The little albums make nifty gifts. I was so happy when I went to my daughter's house to see she had displayed some I made of the grandkids. It IS addictive, however. You will be looking for stuff to scrap into an album. I am waiting for my Zutter binditall to come in the mail and then I am going to try to "design" (I use the term loosely) some albums.

Another fun album to make is one using old CD's. Easy to cut circles out with your circle cutter.

WOW all this talk is making me want to go "play"

I have been a paper scrapper for years and for some reason am intimidated to do this myself... why why why?? LOL

Have fun and I am sure it'll be awesome once you're done. :)

Oh my gosh...I know I'm in for so much trouble. You should check out my last little adventure with paper and glue...

I blogged about it here...um yeah.

Despite the fact that I will need to put police tape and hazard signs across my scrap room door, I'm thinking the hybrid babe call looks pretty darn interesting. :)

I had so much fun doing this one:

They are soooo addictive! I am going to order several other of the Bo Bunny books. Plus I have collected quite a few of the chipboard albums from here ;)

I'm not so ambitious that I want to be a Hybrid Babe. They take awhile for me to put together (this one took 3+ days), which cuts into my other scrapbooking. LOL! But I am really starting to think about what stories would be better in a mini book vs. on a one/two page LO.
