I'm putting this here to be accountable.

Brodo gettin her Swerb on
I'm starting the Couch to 5K today.
I've been working out with a girlfriend for the last month or so, but the workout dvd's aren't gonna cut it for much longer. So, I'm gonna kick the cardio into high gear.

Wish me luck! I promised a friend I would do a 5k with her in June, so that's good reason to keep going right? LOL!

WOOT! Cheering you on! I'll be starting hopefully next week... I can't wait to get back into running again!

good luck! I've heard wonderful things about the couch to 5k! Please keep us updated on your progress!

Thanks guys :) I can already tell I'm in far better shape than the last time I tried this workout. Poor Tigah-now really needs it too apparently, she could barely keep up with me after a winter all cooped up inside, lol.

I look forward to checking in with you Heather!

Good luck.

I'll be starting something as soon as this huge baby comes out & I'm cleared from the Dr...

You'll love it if you follow it consistently! I did it and haven't looked back since!! And I was a die-hard running-hater. So if I can, you can! And you've got a built-in companion!

I'm so with you Chelsey, lol. Literally, less than a week after an "I hate running" rant/discussion with a girlfriend, I decided to try this program again, lol. I have 2 friends in NY who have been running 5k's for a year or two, a friend in RI who haaaaaaaaaaaates running, but signs up for runs to keep herself motivated to lose those last few pounds, and then the girlfriend I've been working out "with" (also in NY, we text each other each night after we finish our workouts) is going to start the program in a week or two as well when she gets back from vacation.

It was sunny for the first time in what felt like AGES, so even though I haven't gotten my new running shoes, I decided to bite the bullet, lol. I'm gonna go get my stride and all that stuff analyzed tomorrow hopefully, and then I can get new sneaks. And we're actually home this weekend, so I have no excuses to not keep running over the weekend. I'm gonna do the program Tues/Thurs/Sat since I have classes on Mon/Wed. So it works out pretty well.

It's so empowering when you have a good strong run. And there's no better feeling than crossing the finish line. Easy to become addicted to that. I'd race every weekend!

Yay Col!!! I started running a month ago... I'm only going 2 to 3 times a week right now but hopefully once spring gets here I can kick it up to 5 days a week. Although, my BFF started me out at 3 miles. Yes. 3. I ran 7 last Sunday and we are doing 7 more this Sunday. She wants to run a half marathon this fall. IDK if I'll go that far or not. 7 is almost too much for me.
