I'm pretty bummed about something (re: a CT)

I freelance for a designer and am part of her CT forum. She hasn't posted on the forum since well before Christmas and has not replied to any of her CT members attempting to contact her via PM, email, etc. I even emailed her myself over a month ago b/c I was worried something might really be wrong... no response.

I saw today that she has a new collab kit out on one of the sites she designs for (in addition to a couple of other new items)... so I know she's alive.

This really bums me out b/c while I just freelance for her, she has several people who create for her "full time" and she has really left them hanging.

Sadly, I think this happens kinda often. It's definitely not good design practice and sounds like the designer just didn't want to deal with a CT and instead of telling them, just ignored them all together.

Sorry that happened...
 
That's a bummer. I'm sorry she's left you and a bunch of people hanging. Its not a good feeling I'm sure. I hope she gets back to you and sorts things out. Is there any chance you and the other freelancers could band together and start your own designs? Maybe it could turn into a good thing?
 
That stinks when you're left hanging.

However, if it's who I think it is, then that designer has been having alot of medical issues lately, so it could be that she's just not been able to take care of everything.

Hope you hear something soon.
 
Unfortunately, it happens a lot! I've had 3 designers I was on CT's for disappear...one resurfaced and came back as a paper scrapper, she no longer does digi. I couldn't figure out why she wouldn't just say...um, yeah, I'm not interested in digi anymore. I mean, really...not hard to send an email and let 10 people know what's going on!

I know!! I understand that things happen (the whole LIFE thing), but I don't think that it's too much to ask for an email that says "hey I'm over it... peace out" or "I'm having some issues and will be outta the loop for awhile" or SOMETHING.

I'm not as much annoyed for myself as I am some of the other girls on the CT who have REALLY given their all for her. Ah well...
 
I had this happen twice. The one time she finally responded and said she was having family issues. The other time, after like a year, she emails me and says she was having issues, but is now back to designing and asks me to CT for her again, so I agree and then haven't heard from her since and I don't see her designs anywhere. The part that sucks about that one is she was a good friend and I never even hear from her personally anymore.
 
I've had this happen as well. It really stinks. But don't worry for them; they'll find someone else who will really appreciate them.
 
That really sucks, and I'm sorry. I haven't had this happen to me yet, thankfully!

I don't think it's too hard to email people or just do a post and say "ya know, I'm busy, not designing anymore" or "I don't need a CT anymore" or whatever. I'd think that was a lot less hurtful than ignoring people. ((hugs))
 
WOW! I am so gratefull I've always had fantastic designers! I can't tell you how sorry I am for you and that whole CT. That is just rude!
