I'm Curiuos

I'm curious about how/why things are done at SSD.

1. Why don't we reply with thank you for comments on our pages?
2. How do you link a kit in the gallery details.

I know there was something else but I can't think of it now

I mean you could reply with thank yous, but the people you are thanking won't get notified. You however, will get notified that you commented on your page.

yep - what trish said :)

i think the best way to say 'thanks' to someone for leaving you a comment is to go to their gallery and leave a comment on one of their pages :) if they left you an especially nice comment, you can always add "thanks for the comment on my XYZ page" - and if it was really special you could always send them a PM :)

and here's a tutorial about adding pics and credits to the gallery - gives more info than what you are asking, but just in case others are looking for answers :)

hope that helps!

This is what I've always understood the standard to be in digiscrap galleries - I wouldn't say it's just a SSD thing. It's the same with answering questions asked in a comment, most people aren't ever going to go back to that layout and see your answer.

Ah! That makes sense. I'm not active on any other digiscrap galleries so I was just curious. I used to own a gaming community and we always replied to comments but it was in a forum. It's actually nice that I'm not expected to reply.

There are some comments that are REALLY special to me-- that they've really made a comment that touched me personally, and in that case, they get a PM thanking them and I explain why it was meaningful.

Other/most comments, I try to comment back on a page of theirs as a form of thanks as often as I can.

OK I need another set of eyes. I can't get the code for linking in the gallery to work right. This is what I have but it doesn't link to the store page. It's on this page "Changes".
