I'm back from atlanta :]

you're like stars
I had a lovely time - minus the humidity and minus the getting stuck there till this morning parts LOL. The last day there the humidity was actually a lot lower so that was nice.

we had a lovely little mini 'vacation' though. I got there sunday afternoon.. I did get bumped for one flight (standby/non rev) but it was relatively painless. I was exhausted though- I'm not a morning person and your best chance on standby is to get to the airport as early as possible. Jacob had training sunday morning and was done by the time I got there-- and had all of monday & tuesday off. So we trekked around Atlanta ta a bit.. went to the aquarium.. some ferris wheel thing.. a couple little restaurants, and the delta museum (even though we are anti delta haha). I was SUPPOSED to come home wednesday, but the flights were just terrible.. I went to the airport and wasn't getting anywhere- even if I DID get out of Atlanta, I was going to be stuck somewhere overnight and have to sleep in an airport... which I don't know about you.. but that does not sound appealing :p Jacob had training from 6pm-12am wednesday night so I just took it easy around the hotel. Kiddo wanted me to stay away longer :p lol It was a nice little break for everyone.

While I had a lovely time.. I don't think I'll be planning any trips to Atlanta again haha (sorry :p ). The airport is really really terrible.. the humidity made me really nauseous and I just felt gross the whole time. lol though some sweet old man shuttle driver was trying to convince me that sweating was really really good for me haha.

obligatory picture jacob posted while I was there.
awww.
sweaty. actually, this was in the ferris wheel thing and it had AC. lol I was so happy to get inside of it after walking to it.

I just had a dream about your trip last night. In my dream, you loved Atlanta. : )

That's a super cute pic, too.

The Atlanta airport is the busiest in the world, so yes, I imagine it's not fun to spend lots of time there. The Charlotte airport, on the other hand, in NC is really quite nice as is the one here in Indy.

Glad you had a fun time! I'm still wrapping my brain around seeing lovey-dovey photos of you with a boy. :p

Uck - not a fan of ATL, either...

You two, are so cute!! You should have came to Appleton last month when he was here... we have had such a cool summer, you would have felt right at home! Plus - you could have met me!!! ;)

Sorry you had a terrible time while here in my home state La! How was the aquarium? Have not been since it opened! It seems really nice!

And indeed you did visit during one of the HOTTEST times of year! They weather had been awful muggy for the past month and presumed to get worse!

I loved the aquarium but it was *really* busy when we went. I think we just picked the wrong time of day or something? I was stoked to be there though so I didn't care :p I loved the beluga whales and the tunnel-y thing with the whale sharks.. so cool.

It wasn't really terrible.. LOL -- except the airport, the airport was indeed terrible haha.

I really should have lol i'd have been comfier!.. his schedule was a bit more intense then though- and he was grumpier :D he had days off last month too but he literally spent all day studying because he felt like he was struggling a little. THIS part of the training is the sim stuff- which he's doing great with & is coming way easier for him.

lol lovey dovey squishy silly.

I was actually trying to get into charlotte for my connector but failed both ways. I stopped over in Philadelphia instead-- I don't mind that airport, it's much smaller ^__^

Atlanta is an hour and a half from me. In the summer the aquarium is always full! We went one time and it was so freaking packed. Then we went again during the school year. It was so much better! The airport is so fun hahaha.. Yes, at this time of year no one from the north wants to visit. It kind of takes getting used to and sometimes even then it still sucks!!

PS On a side note now you know why people here don't wear many clothes! bahaha At least that's what I try to blame it on when I see someone with more underwear then shorts.

there were quite a few outfits in the aquarium that really made me question whether or not people thought they were at the beach. yikes.

I'm glad you had a little getaway! You two are quite the cute couple. Summer's are tough in these hot states, glad you survived.
