I'm Back and Finally Getting Settled

I haven't been around for a couple of month and I have so missed this place!!

We moved from SC to El Paso, TX this month. We actually began packing two days after Christmas and began our cross-country drive with four children on the 3rd of January...yeah, crazy!!

We're finally getting settled into our new house and I'm getting back to a normal schedule and routine. How I love routine!!!

So...what's been going on around here this month?

(ha...just noticed I still have a Christmas siggy up...I'd say it's time to change that!)
 
Welcome back! Glad you are getting settled into your new home. The anniversary festivities begin tomorrow so I think that's the big news around here!
 
Welcome back! I don't know you, cuz I've barely started being active here, but looking forward to seeing you around more! Just peeped out your blog. I LOVE when mom's show REAL life (and not only photos that look like they belong in a magazine, lol) I need to jump back into blogging, I miss it. Congrats on the move! We just moved from NC to WA right before the holidays, yuck. Remind me never to move around the holidays again! (as if we had a choice...lol)

Nope, I'm originally from California. But my DH is in the Army so we're stationed at Ft Sam Houston right now - been here a little over two years. And yes, summers here are brutal. Our first summer here was the year we had 59 days of 100+ heat. :thumbdown: Makes me miss the 8 months of winter we had when we lived in Colorado, haha.

Lol yeah the heat is ridiculous there. People always say there's no way I'm a true Texan cuz that's the first thing I mention is how much I can't stand the heat. My DH is Army too, there was an opening for Ft Sam but we said "no thanks!".... and now we are in WA where the sun doesn't shine, sigh...

PS... sorry for hijacking this thread!

We have friends that just PCSed to Ft. Sam Houston right before Christmas.

I was wondering when you would be back. Yes, we do need to get together again soon! :) And I definitely second the idea of Lynette coming to visit!
