IFTT recipe

Do any of you use IFTTT? I do and I love it for automating a lot of little tasks. So, today I came across this IFTTT recipe called Neighborhood Watch. Basically, when an Instagram image is posted in a specified area (which you can set to be your own neighbourhood), you get emailed.

Well, now I know what the teenagers in my area are doing, lol!

Goodness me -- I want to message them all and tell them to take location off their images! But I'm passing it on to all of you in case you have some teens and you're wondering what's going on...

Lol. I use IFTTT for a few blogs that I follow, but that's about it. Haha, it would be great to know what the teens around here are up to, and I'll definitely have to keep it in mind for when my kids are older . . . although, who knows what technology will be like in 5 years. Yikes!

I love the idea of IFTT (and seen articles on the daily digi) but the idea of getting started sounds so overwhelming to me but that is scary what you found out about locations!

LOL Ok, I"d never heard of this, but I set it up earlier today for my neighborhood. I found out there is a LOT of drinking going on and people taking pictures of it. And apparently my neighbor is fond of posting photos of herself smoking hookah.

Perhaps some of this stuff is better left unknown. LOL

I have never heard of this either... seems kind of creepy... kind of like big brother. I had to help my mom stop the location services on FB. One of her sisters was calling her every time it showed her in different places.

It is too.addictive.can't.stop.! Beyond the teenagers and college students, there's a mommy/food blogger I found in my neighbourhood. And her food looks so good! Now I want to find her and become her new best friend, lol!
