If you have a Sonic near you

Sadly, the closest are 70 miles away. Rather defeats the purpose of free; esp since i couldn't get there even if I wanted to,lol.
 
Freaking-fracking. We have no Sonics anywhere near us. The nearest is like 200 miles away in the direction we never go. I so want one near us! When I was in San Antonio last summer for 2 weeks, we went twice. lol
 
Last year there was about 1/2 mile back up to get to Sonic on free float night.

I think we will skip it this year. Unless I can convince Billy to go before midnight. LOL!
 
If you haven't already gone, don't. LOLOL I couldn't believe the backup on the road to get in. We were there about 20 min early because church as over a little early, and we waited and just watched the place fill up. When we left, the backup both directions was scary! LOL
 
Ours was pretty busy but we didn't have too much trouble getting in at all, we got there about 8:05. It was nice that they had car hops in the drive thru lane with trays of root beer floats ready to go so all you did was pull up & tell them how many and then you were set! We did it that way rather than pulling into a space and we were able to get right in and out. I noticed a lot of people were parking in nearby parking lots and walking over too, they also had car hops out in the eating area with trays for those people.
 
Darcy I think ours only added the drive thru in the last year or two when they remodeled, I don't think all Sonic's in our area have them. But it definitely made it much easier that's for sure!
 
ours was pretty fast too. we d on't have a drivethru but they had carhops standing outside with trays so you didn't have to park. :)
 
Ours was quick and a girl I used to work with was working there tonight -- we wound up with 7 b/c we sat there and talked!!!
 
OMGosh ours was crazy crowded!! We have individual stalls with a place to order and then a picnic area with a main order thingie and then teh drive-thru well the drive-thru was wrapped around the building which made it impossible for people to leave who were pulled into the parking spots to order. It was worth it though. I let hubby have my float cause I dont really like them. Only really went to get out of the house for a little while. Amazingly enough though people were courteous and when they saw someone was pulling out they tried to make it as easy as possible which isnt always the case LOL. I told my husband I bet they make in one night what they would in a week from all the extra people coming through and ordering other stuff
 
yea we were suckers and made our dinner plans around the free floats :) So we ordered $25 worth of food too, but it was super fun. It was good to get out as a family on a summer evening. We really enjoyed it!
