If you had a theme song

An oldie comes to mind....Summer Breeze by Seals and Croft. I love that song, so sweet, cheerful and mellow. That's me!!!

I try to be sweet LOL, guess you should ask my hubs and children what they think LOL. Cheerful definitively....I always tell my kids, choose joy, choose positivity and let the negative stuff go. Not that you don't have to deal with that stuff but don't hold onto it, don't focus on it, focus instead on the best way to "find your joy" and move forward.

As for mellow....yes definitely. I am a people person, always chatting away and talking to everyone, everywhere I go. I think people respond to my calm mellow energy. When I'm out, I'm always chatting away with strangers and clerks and always have a smile for everyone.

Oh, this is a fun question!
Once--ages ago!-- I took either a magazine quiz or an online quiz on this topic and my result was "Walkin' on Sunshine".
In college, a few of my friends said they had a song that made them think of me every time... I was pretty disappointed to hear that it was Warehouse by Dave Matthews Band because I couldn't figure out why on earth the lyrics of the song would remind them of me. But then they explained that it wasn't the lyrics, but the music at around 3:10 & 4:15 in this video(and repeats a few more times after that) that they felt was quintessentially "me" --

Once they explained that, I loved it! I felt like it was even more special that they heard that music and said to each other, "doesn't this remind you of our friend?" than if they had chosen a more obvious lyrical connection like, say, "you have brown eyes, so this song called Brown Eyed Girl made us think of you, isn't that wild?!" ;) And even now when I've been feeling out of sorts for a while, I listen to those songs and remind myself that I'm actually a "walkin' on sunshine"/bright, bouncy musical interlude person, not an exhausted, complainy, blah person ;)
But those 2 theme songs were assigned to me... I'll have to think about what I'd choose if I were to pick my own.

I love that song, Rae! What a lovely image :)

Walkin on Sunshine is a great song, Rebecca. Very upbeat. I had never heard the Dave Matthews Band song. That bit of the song is very upbeat and fun.

Have you watched How I Met Your Mother?? This made me think of the Matchmaker episode! Love it!

Rebecca - love Dave Matthews Band but didn't know that song. I had to listen to it, I like it.

Can you believe I've never watched HIMYM? One of these days I want to watch all the episodes. I have seen a few bits here and there and know I am going to love binging this one day.

Oh, you have to watch the whole thing! So good! Maybe I'll watch it again (would be my 4th or 5th time for the early seasons, I think)

Love me some DMB! I've been to two concerts. SUCH a performer! The last time I saw him Jason Mraz opened for him. Mmmmm...I could listen to him sing all day.

Mine would be American Woman..... the Lenny Kravitz rendition.... being an American living in Canada, surrounded by all my Canadian family and friends.... with that song, they'll all KNOW it's me coming in. lol

What I WANT is She's On Fire by Train but feel it's more like New Soul Yael Naim :D

Both great song for different moods! :)

That sounds perfect, Jenn!

Perfectly vivacious for you, LeeAndra!

I posted the question because it really made me think! I still can't figure out my theme song. LOL!!

At the time, we listened to tons of DMB. The year **after** we graduated (of course!) he played at our small college...that would have been awesome. I think I've been to 3 or 4 concerts, but sooooooooo long ago! I still love listening & feel like if I were going to set aside time & money to go to a concert, DMB would probably be at the top of my list (but not DHs, so.... we might have to draw straws ;) )

Theme songs - like a tv show opener?
If so, I'll go with Friends

Funny thing is, I have "theme" songs for each of my kids. Other than my daughter's, I can't tell you how I chose them.
Our daughter's song is "A Whole New World" which was playing in the nursery at the hospital right after she was born. Hubby chose that one since I was still being stitched back up.

Our older son's song is this medley of "Over The Rainbow" & "What A Wonderful World" Medley by Israel "IZ" Kamakawiwoʻole

Our youngest son's song is "Close to You" by The Carpenters

Bahaha! This is funny! You know there are times (especially when I have my headphones on) that I am walking with my own music like I was on an mtv or something, walking a little slow and then the room would just be suspended. I did that one time when the hub was playing a Tay Tay song in the kitchen and my daughter was like "what are you doing, mom?"

Okay, mine is Surfacing by Slipknot but don't look that up--the language is atrocious. After the past week of having my DD's iPhone stolen and being sprayed with gas, hobbling around in pain, and, and, and. . . it's on a constant loop in my head.

I've never heard it, but I'm sure my boys have. I'm so sorry it's been a rough week, Lynn. I really hope you have a relaxing weekend and a fresh start on Monday!!
