So I am doing horrible this year at remembering birthdays and anniversaries. I did not even get him a valentines day card and I always get him something for valentines day. I just dont know what to do for him. Since his accident the stuff he loves to do he has not been able to. It is kinda heart breaking to know how bad he wants to go fishing but cant because it hurts and of course the nerve damage in his right hand makes it really difficult. He does not wear jewelry or watches. He has lots of clothes. I want to do something special but I just dont know what.

A friend of mine did something really cool when her husband turned 50. She got pictures from each decade of his life and had them blown up and displayed in the restaurant where we had a surprise party waiting for him. It was so fun!

I'm right there with ya...my hubby turns 40 this year and all my friends are asking if I'm doing anything special. I'm like yeah....sure....I have no idea where to start. LOL!

I ended up doing that and got two 4x6 memory boxes that I stained then used scrapbooking stickers from several wedding/love themes and wrote important dates on light colored river rocks with metallic paint markers. Then to fill in the space I put different colored river rocks that were much smaller more like pebbles. I really love how they turned out and my husband loved them too.

Sounds wonderful.

We are doing a 'star party' for my DH's 44th next weekend. A friend of mine is actually an astronomer. We are going to hang out in the dark with friends and look at the sky!
