IF it'll make my kids SHUT UP!!! :cursing::cursing:

They've been doing nothing but fighting and screaming for a week and I'm just gonna hurl something at the wall here pretty quick!:mad::mad::mad::mad:

UGH! I am so sorry!! That is not fun! I have been feeling completely suffocated by my insane children lately who just scream constantly, so I totally understand how you feel! {{hugs}}

Ugh I know how you feel...Kaden has been nothing but a terror the last few weeks....it just keeps getting harder and harder to do it on my own!!! ((Hugs)) to you!!

Oh that stinks Traci! I think we all go through spurts like that, where the kids are just at each other's throats no matter what you do! HUGS!!!

oh yes girls..right there with ya...daddy had to LAY down the LAW tonight to my normally sweet kids...but all of a sudden they have these MOUTHS on them..i am like..WHATEVER...no you DID NOT talk back to me..and i whip out the spoon and chase them around the house threatening their little **lives...

apparently though...all it took was daddy to talk to them tonight..WHY didn't it work for ME like that?!

love that we can commiserate togethaaaaaaaaaa...xoxo

**but would never really hurt them**

I have to say it doesnt get better as they get older. My daughter gets grounded and she still thinks she should be able to go online to socialize with friends on facebook and myspace and be able to text message and talk on the phone. I have to ask what exactly does grounded mean?? When I was a kid grounded meant I was not allowed to do ANYTHING!! Then when I say that she comes back with "you are so unfair" or "I am not allowed to do anything" or my favorite "so and so's mom and dad let them do it" They go at it like cats and dogs. All three of my kids are fine alone and dont do anything wrong but put any two together (with the exception of the oldest two most of the time) and then it starts.

uugh...P heard my misery and brought home coke, candy, dinner, margaritas and banana splits...**Swoon** I heart my husband

Ok, don't take this the wrong way, but thank GOODNESS!!!!! I am so relieved to know that I'm not the only mother out there whose children can drive them insane ... and even in a short amount of time.

I'm sorry that you're feeling the same way ... but I'm relieved too ... does that make any sense at all?? HUGS!!

Same here! I can't stand all the fighting and yelling. Sometimes I want to get earplugs!

My older DD is actually not allowed to have sleepovers because of her attitude.

My boys have been yelling at each other like crazy too! I hate it!! I feel like the only way I can get their attention is to join in, which I try really hard not to do.

It may sound crazy, but I have invested in a whistle. I decided that it works for the teachers at school so why not give it a try. It really gets their attention, and they quiet down for a little while.

Just don't punch the refrigerator or anything!!! It must be something in the air this time of year because my kids have been walking terrors! <<<HUGS>>> I say we have a swap kid week because kids tend to not act so bad with someone new!!!

P is a doll!! i heart him too!! what the crap is going on with the kids? did you hear them specifically say anything about wanting you dead? come on...through mom a bone. :p

Aww Traci... I feel your pain hon. My girls fight constantly! 4 more weeks of summer and then school starts back up. They do so much better when they're not with each other every minute of the day.

I hope you get a break from the madness soon girl!

ohhhhhh how sweet of your dh. Yeah my two year old is right there with your kids. She is a chatterbox, drama queen. Everything is drama with her. She argues with me about everything....what she's going to wear, what she's going to eat or drink, you name it, she'll argue it. LOL I give up!

uugh...P heard my misery and brought home coke, candy, dinner, margaritas and banana splits...**Swoon** I heart my husband

I hope that was all for you and not the kids. ;) Ok, so maybe the dinner should have been shared, but the rest should have been all yours and P's!

Geez Traci, can you send P my way? what a sweetie! Sorry about the boys, I only have the one so he just fights and screams with me. I'm not sure which is worse.

i go through this every day (but do not get dinner, coke, candy, banana splits ).

yesterday DD4 being VERY abusive to me. hitting me, pinching me. she needs anger management . . . was very close to throwing her outside and locking her out of the house.

LOL the background on all the food he brought me was that we've been eating "clean" for a few months and so I'm not allowed to have that stuff, but yesterday was a dire emergency for sure.

What I'd forgotten was that yesterday was his first day of quitting smoking so instead of being a real jerk (as usual when he tries to quit), he was being really sweet and even took them into the other room AWAY from me all night so I could decompress. I think he gets husband of the month award.

Lizzy---they just like to fight over toys and hit each other...they're still to young for the death threats! LOL

OMG I totally agree. Add to that guitar hero at 80 decibels and the TV too..oh and don't forget the OTHER son playing grand theft auto and hearing horns honking and sirens blaring ALLL day..I think I'll eat my ears too!

Can I just say, your thread title is too awesome?! :D I'm pretty sure I'll be stealing that line shortly. (We leave tomorrow on a huge family road trip convoying to our family reunion. Only saving grace will be we can swap kids around to different vehicles at pee stops, LOL)

It must be something in the air, that point of the summer, or whatever. The nieces and nephews have been brutal. Bouncing off the walls insane and going at each others throats at the drop of a hat.

Huge props to hubby! What a sweetie!

Dude im SO there right now too!! I swear I have picked up an endless amount of toys and junk off the floor and every time I think Im finally done cleaning theres a new mess waiting for me! Grrrr

It's not Lukas that's driving me insane, it's my cousins Conor and Ella :cursing: . They are always here, always fighting, always picking on each other, always bickering, they really are a pair of horros. As much as I hate to say this I am enjoying that I am getting a bit of a break right now, with Nan being in hospital they can't be bought here and dumped for hours on end. Not that I wouldn't rather have Nan home with me it's just that sometimes it's nice to have some peace and quiet especially since Lukas doesn't act that way I am not used to it. He's a sweet kid and the only one he fights with is dh who is hardly ever in :p Hope everyone else's gives them a break soon. Hugs Crystal xx

It may sound crazy, but I have invested in a whistle. I decided that it works for the teachers at school so why not give it a try. It really gets their attention, and they quiet down for a little while.

Brilliant, I should try this! It would sure make me feel better not yelling to get their attention... and I'll bet they'd HATE it. hehehe

I like the whistle idea, too. My 3 year old hates loud noises, so this would totally annoy her... but would probably annoy the neighbors, too.
