I want to LEARN!

Hi there! I LOVE to digi scrap and have been doing it for a while now. Im at the point where i would like to learn how to make and use my OWN digi elements and papers but i have no idea where to start..I was wondering if somebody with the know-how could point me in the right direction! Or give me a few pointers perhaps?? Do i need to take classes or is it something i can learn how to do myself? Please help me out! have a great day :0)
 
Hi, there! My only advice is to learn your program really well and just play and find out what it can do. I used to design kits and taught myself how to to it all from scratch (though I've been doing exclusively templates for the past 2 years, and I've forgotten all my old tricks, lol). There are lots of tutorials out there, though...

As fun as it sounds to design my own, I seem to find everything I need from someone else's talent!
 
I've created a few things here and there on my own. My best base resource was Digital Designs for Scrapbooking 2 by Renee Pearson. After you learn the basics from that, just play a lot with things. There were a couple of stores that had "sessions" or contests for learning how to design, but I'm not sure if those ended or where they are.
