I Started My Day...

At 4 am. Yesterday Mason and Trev were home sick (Trev got home first, and then got to go get Mason from school, lol...nice timing). But at 4 am, Mason comes into my room and tells me that Natalie started throwing up on the floor in their bedroom. So I got to go clean THAT up. Then I couldn't sleep (once I wake up, it takes me a LONG time to fall asleep again), so I got up and designed until about 5:30. I went back to bed for an hour and a half, but didn't sleep - DH's alarm goes off every 5 minutes from 5 until 6:30, then he gets ready for work (noisily, btw - no WONDER the kids are up only a couple minutes after he leaves for work...I don't hear him usually if I'm asleep, but come ON, how loud does a person need to be?!), and then my alarm went off at 7.

I am tired, lol. But I've got SO much to do today for this weekend's new releases...I don't have time to have a nap, lol! ;)
 
Why do they always get sick in the middle of the night? Why not starting at 9am so it's over by bedtime. WHY??

No doubt! LOL! Mason got sick at school and was actually fine by suppertime last night - so he's gone to school today. But Natalie I think will be a bit longer, she's been throwing up all morning, poor little girl.

Mostly I'm just hoping that *I* don't get sick, lol. I don't have time to nap...let alone get sick! LOL!
 
Oh...so sorry. WHY do they get sick in the middle of the night? I guess it's one those "murphys laws" kind of things.
 
ugh, I hate mornings like that! Think how well you will sleep tonight since you will be exhausted! How is Natalie feeling now?
 
She's napping...she's got the whole flu package going on, poor thing...coming out both ends. I made her go back to bed though, with a pail, lol. The best thing for her is sleep. She came in to snuggle and almost threw up on me, I was like...um, no, haha. And then she started crying in the bathroom and said "Mommy...I hate being sick!"...awwww!
 
Sorry Bree....isn't just the timing thing ALWAYS!!! my kids always manage to get sick when I have a lot to do or something big is coming up!!!! Hope Nat is better soon and you get some MUCH needed rest!!!!!
 
Ack! That's the worst!!!

I'm going through the same thing with my little one. He threw up at the sitter's twice yesterday and had THE WORST diaper this morning.... OMG my whole entire house reeks of poop that smells like vomit. It's so gross! We have cleaned his room with everything but bleach and it still stinks. The whole house fan is going, we have stuff soaking on the carpet and everything has been wiped down. Geez! - the poo was only on his jammies and his bedding - which have been washed. You would think the smell would go away after all of the cleaning I have done. UGH! I hate it when they're sick.
 
I totally hear you Bree... I was up from 1 AM - 4 AM with that going on here. Its going to be a long day today :(
 
yuck..no fun!!!! you are a stronger woman than me. I usually puke when I have to clean it up (sad I know considering I am an ER nurse). I hope you don't get sick too Bree.
