I ♥ Space Bags

LOL...I really do...

We went to Costco and bought a big box full of them, there were all sorts of sizes in there, for only like $20. Awesome deal!

So I'm filling up some of them with clothes that my kids have outgrown so that I can take them to my sister's at the end of the month...I've filled 2 of the larger bags already and probably will have 2 more by the time I'm finished laundry and sorting.

But the best part is that all 4 bags will only take up as much room as 1 box would - and without the space bags, it would be probably 2-3 boxes.

So anyway, yeah...I ♥ Space Bags... :D

ETA: We also have one for camping that is a bag inside of a canvas "box" type thingie...we put all our blankets and pillows in it, it works PERFECTLY, cause then nothing gets dirty and it takes up WAY less space in the vehicle - at the time we bought it we only had a tiny little Cavalier and so not much room to pack camping stuff, lol.

LOL, yeah...not gonna happen...cause I'd have to pull all the clothes BACK out, make a big mess...yeah, no. :p

They don't suck down as much with little clothes as they show in the pictures and stuff...but they do get pretty tiny. It depends on how you pack them, for sure.

So they really work? Do you just use the vacuum? I have been wondering and could definitely use these if they work that well! No Costco membership tho, maybe Sam's has them?

Pam you can get them lots of places...I think we got our first one at WalMart. This was just a big box of them at Costco.

But yeah, they really do work. I just use my vaccuum on them, or when we're camping, I use the air pump on reverse (it doesn't really fit, but you can make it work ok, lol).

I got some several years ago and the seal "leaked" after several months (which caused them to go back to normal size). The interesting thing about it though was that I had them all packed on a shelf at the very top of the closet so even though the air got back into them and they puffed back up again, they were totally wedged between the top shelf and the top of the closet.

I just assumed it was normal for them to eventually puff back up after my experience with them - how long do they normally last?

I'm not sure, really...I've never used them for long enough that they could leak. The one we have for camping has a tiny hole in it so it fills back up, lol...but because it's in a canvas box thing (that zippers closed) when it expands it doesn't have very far to go before it's blocked.
