..than to send DH to the grocery store to pick up baby stuff. :thumbdown: I asked for a small can of formula to hold us over until I could go to Costco to get the big cans. He comes home with the formula for PREMATURE and LOW BIRTHWEIGHT babies. :huh: lol! I was like, did you even read the can?!?!?
So, my question, is it that much different? Should I just use it or exchange it? Quick glance tells me that it is a little higher in protein and higher in most of the vitamins. I thought it would be higher in fat, but it's not. So....

I prolly wouldn't use it only because babies can be very sensitive to changes in their diet. A change in formula can sometimes upset their tummy pretty bad. As much as it's a pain to go back to the store, I'd prolly try to exchange it.

One can could certainly cause some stomach distress - so I'd say no, don't use it. return it. We had to go thru 5 different formulas before we found one that didn't cause projectile vomiting with my oldest who was 6 weeks early. and when I say projectile, I mean he could nail you 5 feet away LOL

yeah, I'd have to agree with the other ladies. My boys were both very sensitive to changes in formula. Aren't hubbys dense sometimes? lol

It depends on the baby really. Kristen easily adapts to change and things like that wouldn't have bothered her belly, whereas Kaylee had reflux and stuff so I wouldn't give it to her if that happened to me.

Hubbies try, really they do, but come on...use some logic eh? LOL

LOL, I was going to say just give it to the baby, lol. My sister was here and switched brands of formula all the time while she was here. Enfamil to GoodStart to whatever, lol...didn't hurt the baby at all (she was 9 months). For YOUNG babies I wouldn't recommend it, but they're stomachs are stronger as they get older (otherwise how would they handle the transfer to whole milk or solid foods).

I'm with Bree. I have had to use brands other than my normal in a pinch and he seemed to adapt okay. Do you have any of your regular brand left? Maybe you can mix them together? I've done that a few times too...

Yeah, DH's can be pretty dense sometimes. Mine wouldn't know which brand or type to buy either, let alone how to actually make a bottle...
