I ordered a new lens

Nice one! I don't have that one but I do have the Tamron 28-75 2.8 and I love it! It has not come off my camera since I got it. I was nervous about getting a Tamron since I have never used one before. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality.

I'm obsessed with getting that lens. It's #2 on my list, only behind a speedlight. I will definitely have it by the time we go to Europe this fall. I rented it last september and LOVED it.
 
I have a nikon 18-200. I'm sure you will love it! I loved not having to change lenses while chasing a toddler around!

I have that lens and I'm super happy with it too :)

And let us know Vanessa what you think of the 18-200 because I really do need a longer focal length lens at some point.

I have this lens and it is a pretty good little lens for the price. I don't use it much indoors since I usually use my 50mm but I use it outdoors a lot (it is great for the zoo and the park) and have been pleased with my photos!

The next lens on my wish list (along with an external flash) is the Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8 that Amanda has. Hopefully I can get both next month once we do our taxes :thumbup:
 
You will love it! Having the 18mm is great for taking group shots indoors--when it is hard to get everyone in the pic and the 200 is great for sports. I love not having to switch out lenses except for special projects.

I have the Tamron 18-250mm and I am very happy with mine. I also have a Sigma 18-200. I have one or the other on my camera all the time... don't ask why I have both... a bad(and expensive) lens comparison experiment.....
 
Congrats on the new lens!

I am saving up for the Nikon 70-200 2.8...I am not getting very far b/c I keep buying digital kits!! LOL

I'd really been wanting the 28-135 mm that canon makes, but I'm going to hold off until DH lets me get a 40 or 50d. LOL!
