I need to whine...

We started off last week with Madelyn being sick. It was everything from an allergic reaction to hand foot and mouth and finally croup....after three trips to the dr's. Things started getting better, she was taking breathing treatments 3 times a day, taking allergy meds, and we had been fever free for two days. Well, lo and behold, yesterday afternoon, the fever came back. Her cough had gotten better, or so I thought. It was loosening up but becoming more often. I just figured it was all the yuckies breaking up. She didn't sleep much last night because she'd cough and wake herself up. This morning, her fever is 102.2 again. Off to the doctors again. :thumbdown: She was supposed to have her 18 month check up tomorrow but um, since she's not well we'll be skipping that lol

This child is so her father, allergies, sinus issues, tubes...definitely my sickly child. Can you keep us in your t&p's that it's nothing serious?

I hope she feels better quickly! You know all that we've been through with Annika and are still going through with her.. so you know you have my sympathy and feel better wishes!!
 
Awww... poor little thing!! I hope what ever it is the worst has come and she is on the mend... thoughts and prayers heading your way!
 
Oh Laura! I am so sorry that she isn't feeling better. I know it is so hard to see your baby sick, no matter how old they get.

Megan has always been my sickly one as well. Tubes, plugged tear ducts, a lazy eye, allergic to milk, and 5 surgeries by the time she was 3. She loved the Dr office when she was little cuz she spent so much time there and got so much love from everyone.

The only good news that may be out there for you too is that those sickly ones do seem to outgrow it a bit anyway. Megan is only in the doctor now about twice a year...with the nothing less but those darn ear infections still. In fact, she was in the Dr yesterday with her second one for this year.

Def sending prayers your way! She sounds like my Kyle, one thing after another and it gets very frustrating for Mommy!!

She's got bronchitis now. :( If this round of meds doesn't help, she's going to have to go in the hospital for a day or two so she can have stronger breathing treatments. Once she's "better," we're going to be putting her on a regimen of allergy/sinus meds to make sure this doesn't happen again. When she gets sick, she just can't shake it. Hopefully the allergy meds will help with prevention and we won't have to wind up doing adnoid/sinus surgery.

I was going to say she probably has Bronchitis now or Pneumonia. Just watch her close as Bronchitis can turn into pneumonia. I hope she starts to get better soon....Hugs!
