You must get everything Sugarland's ever made. For real. I'm sure you love them since you love country.
I'm also totally jonesin' on Ne-Yo's new CD. He's R & B/pop, but NO rap. It's amazing and such a nice change from what's on the radio most of the time. I especially love his new songs 'Miss Independent' (fast), 'Why Does She Stay?' (slow, beautiful love song), 'Closer' (fast), & 'Single' (fast).
You know I had to give my props to the New Kids On The Block's new stuff. I'm sure Sara will chime in here, too, with that recommendation. They also have a version of 'Single' which Ne-Yo sings in, but evidently, he would lose all cred if he had that same song on his album, so the one on his CD is just him. *lol* I also love their songs 'Summertime,' 'Twisted,' and 'Stare At You.' Please avoid 'Lights, Camera, Action,' 'Grown Man,' & 'Full Service' as they are totally cheesy over-the-top s*x songs.
Do you have Keith Urban's and Brad Paisley's new 'Start A Band' song? That's fun. Toby Keith has a new one: 'She Never Cried In Front of Me.' Not a huge Toby fan generally, but I'm really diggin' that song. Jeff & I saw Lady Antebellum in concert this past Spring, and they rocked. Great harmonies. I'd pick up anything from their album.
Of course, David Cook has a new CD out. Beyonce's two new songs 'If I Were A Boy' (slow) & 'Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)' (fast) are fun.
I love love love Dave Barnes & Marc Broussard. They're both singer-songwriters although Marc definitely has a bluesy-soul flair to his work. Check out anything by Dave & Marc's new CD has some great stuff: 'Keep Coming Back,' 'Real Good Thing,' 'When It's Good,' & 'Evil Things' (surprisingly, a slow love song).
I have tons more, but I'll let you check that schtuff out for now.
HTH!
