Okay so I'm trying to learn how to cook at home more... we are bad eating out junkies!

My husband has requested pork chops anyone have a great pork chop recipe?? and are pork chops better baked or pan fried? I've heard of both ways!

Anyway please spread the pork chop recipes around!

Thanks guys! :)

Oooh my VERY favorite pork chop recipe is to just dump them in the crock pot with some cream of mushroom soup. Let them cook all day and then serve them over egg noodles. YUM!! My kids would eat this every day if I'd do it. LOL! Just before you serve them, you can mix a dollop of sour cream in the pot, and it just kinda makes a sauce. VERY tastey.

Otherwise, we do shake n bake pork chops in the oven. :D

Sounds yummy... I don't have a crock pot tho :( That's something I need to invest in with all this home cooking I'm doing :)

Oh yeah, you definitely need a crock pot. They're pretty cheap... especially this time of year. I seriously use mine at least twice a week. :)

I use Libbys method but I bake them in the oven...for about 1.5 hours or until the entire mixture is bubbly...I had never though about using sour cream...sounds kinda yummy like that. We usually put it over rice though...but the noodles sound divine.

This recipe sounds yummy! Seems like cream of mushroom is the way to go!? I honestly wouldn't have thought of it. Now I have rice and no noddles so that might be the way I go. Would love to hear more... I'll make it more than once I'm sure :)

I just got a new recipe from a calendar I got in the mail.

Barbeque Chedder Pork Chops

You brown the pork chops (salt and pepper to season the meat first) in butter (about 1 min each side), set that aside, put some garlic and onions into the pan you browned the pork in, saute for a bit, then add barbeque sauce and put the pork chops back in. Cover and simmer until cooked through (can't really over cook it, the sauce keeps the pork chops nice and moist. When done, take the pork chops out and place on to a baking sheet, put a slice of chedder and place under the broiler until melted.

I used the same recipe but with chicken too, and put them on buns, and used the left over sauce to dip in, yummy!

My husband cooks alot here and he basically takes the meat and pokes it a few times with a fork and uses seasonings on them like salt, pepper, and Durkee seasonings (we have about ten different types) My favorite is Smokey Mesquite. Then he cooks it over a low heat until done. They come out nice and tender and full of flavor. We also like them grilled and smoked. Both ways have a distinct flavor. Occasionally we will go to Walmart and get these Jack Daniels wood chips and some charcoal and bbq them. You take the wood chips and put them in foil with some water to soak them. Then you get the grill started (I prefer charcoal grilling over gas) and put the chips in the fire. They are wet so they will smoke and that gives the meat the smokey flavor. It is really yummy this way

One of our faves is pork chops and stuffing. Just brown the chops on the stove. Then place them in a 9x13 dish and put prepared stove-top stuffing around the edges of the chops. The pour cream of mushroom soup (slightly dilluted w/ water) over the chops and cook at 350* for 45-ish minutes. YUM!!

Well, speaking as a southern girl - I think they are good fried. I just dip them in flour, salt and pepper them and fry them in oil about ten minutes each side. Then, I put them in a casserole dish and stick them in the oven while I get the rest of the stuff cooked.
