Brodo gettin her Swerb on
So, my girlfriend is getting married in 2 weeks.
Months ago, it was decided that her bachelorette party would take place at her brothers beach house in Ocean City, MD. Sounds awesome right?

It has been THE most poorly planned event I've ever seen in my life. We didn't know until yesterday at like 3pm what the plan was. (This is the bride's last full week of work before the wedding, so she can't leave early from work. So she won't get to our friends place til 7. And it's a 3.5-4 hour drive to the beach. Oh, and it's supposed to rain most of the weekend. )

And then, as if to top off my frustrations, the bride emails us to ask what the plan is for the weekend.

WHO PLANS A BACHELORETTE PARTY WITHOUT TELLING THE BRIDE WHERE SHE NEEDS TO BE?!?!?!?!

I'm a planner. I like to know when I need to be somewhere so I can make sure I'm a few minutes early, or at least on time. So this is killing me!
AND I wouldn't be surprised if half the bars in OC are closed because it's no longer beach season. So, that'll make for a REAL fun bachelorette party

So please. Send some positive thoughts that I make it out of this alive, and without killing anyone. Cuz my fuse is running a bit low right now.

If you were ever a Seinfeld watcher...."SERENITY NOW" or I hear that Starbucks has a new Venti Double Mocha Valium Vodka Latte. :) Relax and enjoy the weekend, whatever happens.

I just needed to vent Amy, lol. Thanks :)

There will be LOTS of alcohol consumed. You can be sure of that, lol.

Take some alcohol with you and breathe. Try not to kill anyone, I don't think Jordan would like to come bail you out of jail. (((hugs)))

Yikes! I hope it all works out and everyone gets to where they're supposed to be!!! Have a great weekend! It sounds like fun!

oh the poor planning would bug me too. But I'm sure you all will find a way to have a good time.

Poor planning drives me batty too. There are few things more annoying to me. LOL

Have a drink, relax and have a great time!! :)

Oh I'd be frustrated too if I were you. I am one to plan all the details and I hate not being organized! but I think once you all get there, things will even out. and if there aren't any bars open for some reason, hit the liquor store and hang out on the beach! Start your own party there! LOL

To tell you the truth I hate being in weddings. All but one of my close friends is already married thank goodness. I like sitting and watching the ceremony, but the rest- hate it. Total stress. Always glad when they're over LOL Hope you manage to have a good time!

Oh I would be so frustrated...If it were me - I would step on whoever's toes it was that was planning (or lack thereof) and plan SOMETHING. Maybe some fun and naughty games at the house (if it rains) Lingerie party - coctaile?
Either way - Have fun! A bunch of ladies together is either SO MUCH FUN - or way to much drama - I hope it is WAY TOO MUCH FUN!

I totally understand, Col.

BFF is getting married Oct 11 and has been saying for months that she didn't want a 'regular' b-party. I spent 3 weeks trying to pin the other MOH down to a specific date. In her defense, the other MOH graduates from college in December and has her own wedding in January, but that is why I tried to get it sorted out with her over 2 months ago.

Anyways, co-MOH has suggested 2 or 3 different places to drive to for a road trip, and now that the date we picked is 2 weeks away, she got BFF involved in the bparty and asked if I could plan it since she's so busy.

I think I've talked BFF into letting me crash at her house the night before b/c otherwise it would be a 9 hour roundtrip for me on top of actually doing something once we got to the city.

One of BFF's suggestions is the ZOO. The ZOO?!? Really?! I HATE the zoo and will only drag myself there if there is a very cute kid involved. Spending an afternoon with three other grown women looking at tigers and lions to celebrate the end of BFF's singledom seems completely bizarre to me... but maybe that's just me.

Since I'm now the official planner, I'm going to plan around NOT going to the zoo and hope it rains that day. :p

The ZOO????? That is DEF bizarre.

Perfect bparty for me = atlantic city (which we will probably do a co-ed party: girls go eat, boys go do whatever (eat/strip club/whatever) meet up afterwards for gambling and fun).

This one sounded good in theory, the beach! We can tan and flirt with boys and enjoy life. Too bad it's raining. We do have a game of "pin the junk on the hunk" planned. Along with consuming much alcohol, going out to eat somewhere tomorrow night, and then to the bars. That's what a bparty is all about!

I just wish we didn't have to drive 3.5+ hours, to go out to eat and to a bar. Hello! We all live close to Baltimore! Go out there for pete's sake! That's the part that annoys me considering the weather is not going ot be beach weather.
