Your LO is lovely. I love the soft edges to it and the composition is great. Photo placement and elements are beautiful. Wish I was that talented. Super job for a first LO. :thumbup:

think i moved the background before i saved some of the edging had been lost mmm will play with it some more i think

That looks wonderful! The only thing I'd change is the white border around the outside and maybe bring the whole title up closer to the rest of the cluster in the middle.
 
been siggy making for a bit but so so frustrated with it, needed to be able to still create stuff it haelps me relax and chill out so i joined here! my siggies are much more minimal (ive always saved as png with no background at all, so using a background feels really alien!) than the layouts you create so it feels like a big challenge to be making like you all are, i hope to be able to in the future though.
 
Betty, what size is your full res. layout? It's not the size of what you linked to right? That is only 1009x1009, which would be only about 4 inches x 4 inches or something like that.
 
yeh i have no idea of sizes that things should be

in psp that is sized at 1900 pixels photobucket may have resized it when i uploaded it

what size should it be?? i really should have known this before i started eh? lol
 
Most scrapping papers come at 3600x3600 (12"x12"). I resize mine to 2400x2400 (8"x8") so I can submit to magazines, but I print mine out at 1800x1800 (6"x6"). So you can resize it to 1800x1800 and call it a learning experience. :)
 
ah! i always wondered why papers and elements were so large in size!

the sigs i was making couldnt be any larger than 450x450 pixels (always got a wrist slapping for making too large!) so didnt want to make it too large will resize it now and re save thankyou for all your help!

i tried ps CS3 but it fell out with my laptop! i really liked using it tbh i loved the actions i could get for it. but my laptop is primarily for my uni work so i will stick to old faithful psp! ive read about scripts on here though so i might have a look see into those!
 
I was a sig maker as well - I used PSP8 to make siggies but my PSP was such a memory hog it took forever to make scrapbook pages at the 3600x3600 that I like. So I upgraded to PS7 (thanks to my ex) then when I got my new laptop in 2006 I upgraded to CS2

When you click on Save As, go to Options, then Optimizer and keep moving the number up until it hits 150,000 or below (the closest to 150,000 the better quality, but it won't be too big for the gallery)

First layout? No joke? That is really awesome! You should see some of my first pages, they were downright frightening. This is really pretty :)
 
That is so cute, you are definitely on the right track with that one. That is way better than my first LO, LOL!!
