We have an Apple store in town recently. Everytime I step in I almost drool when I see the 27 inch screens on the macs. It's a dream for me to step over to mac....but....

I am not there with only the computer itself. Where do I need to think of too?
I am using my pc basically for scrapping and browsing....

Oooh - the Apple store is a dangerous place - so many pretties!

If you are considering making the switch to Apple, you have to think about buying Mac versions of your software. I've always been on a Mac, so I don't have any first-hand knowledge about this. Other girls who have switched will probably be more helpful. But, I believe that Adobe will give you the Mac versions of Photoshop, Elements, etc. if you can show them proof of purchase on a PC version.

I'm not sure how all that works, but making sure you have all your software in Mac versions is something you need to consider.

Adobe will allow you to do a platform swap, just for the price of shipping. It's easypeasy to do too!

Does that only work if you have the most current version? Or does it matter?

Yes you need to have the most current version. If you don't, you'd need to pay for the upgrade and then swap. Or if you have access to education pricing, you could just buy a new copy since the upgrade and education pricing are usually about the same.
