How the heck do you ladies print off your albums..chronocologically? random? what? I need serious help....I started digital in december of 2007 and have yet to get 1 album printed...now I am going to print thru shutterfly, that at least I have decided, and last night i went thru Lo's...604 of them...i need to resave in the correct size, but i honestly have NO idea what to put in each album....ack...this is stressing me out!!! Help :(

I just print them and stick them in my albums...no order at all since I don't scrap chronologically. Why do you have to resize your layouts?

First of all, you gotta stop stressing. Printing ANYTHING is awesome, and your loved ones will LOVE seeing your LO's in print in a cool book.

Having said that, there's no right or wrong way to print. I don't scrap chronologically, so I would never print a book in chronological order either.
But there are also TONS of ladies who think I'm a lunatic for doing it that way ;)

604 lo's is a LOT to try and manage in 1 shot. What about doing a "Favorites Vol. 1". Just go through and pick out some of your most favorite layouts about anything and everything. Then you'll have a book full of the ones you LOVE, and it might make the next book a little easier.

I print individual lo's instead of books since I don't scrap in order. That way I can go back to the kids' individual books and put them in the correct order but I'm not stressing about how far behind I am. lol Works for me. :)

Great question. I haven't printed anything yet and don't know if I should print 12X12's or make a book.

I think i want to make the books...now i am not too sure, LOL, maybe printing out each LO would be better..ack....

think I might try the fav's book like Col suggested....

I might be atypical, but I print in 10x10 books, chronologically.

My kids' books go from Birthdate to birthday. So far I have printed 2 books this way, I have 2 more kids' books to print & a family book which spans from 2006-2009 (I don't have anything printed from that time as far as family stuff). I also have my wedding book I need to print.

I will probably continue to print in books, definately in order for my kids' books, but not sure how I will handle the ''family''/my book.

If I had lots of LO's I would definately think that Col's idea would work awesome, especially if I hadn't printed any of them.

I have albums for each member of the family and I print individual LOs and put them in each album in a random order. I will eventually have some additional albums for other things too. I have bound books of a Boston Trip and my December Daily. They are chornological.

I also don't scrap in order, and therefore don't print whole books at once. I scrap in 12x12, but print in 8x8, so with printing individual pages there is no resizing. Each of my daughters have 2 albums (so far), I have an album, we have a family fun/all about us album, and I think I'm going to put all my holiday/celebration LOs into an album. That's the beauty of individual printing - you can always change things up if you don't like how they're organized.

Good luck deciding what'll work best for you!

I have yet to print any layouts that weren't for a set theme... my bound books have all been, Project 365, vacations, wedding, etc. I've decided since I'm all over the place on the pages I scrap and may want to go back and either redo a page in 2009 or do another take of a favorite photo, that I'm going to print pages separately and put them in an album. I love the look of bound books though...

I don't scrap chronologically either so I print individual pages that go into American Crafts albums. My albums are set up based on Stacy Julian's Library of Memories system. I've got four main albums: Us, People, Places, Things. The pages within the albums are divided into sections, some based on theme, some chronologically, depending on the topic. I love having the freedom to move pages around so I can't see myself printing books unless it was for a specific project.

I just saw on PersnicketyPrints facebook page, that they are running a 25% off special until wed. march 10th. so 12x12's would be only $1.49. I think that is the cheapest I have seen on pro photo paper. I just put in my order.

Same here. I like to put them in chronological order when I finish the year, but I don't like going that long with nothing printed.

I don't print albums I print single page LO's, but still I scrap randomly and that's how I stick them in my 3 ring binders....just randomly!!! My kids don't care...they just love looking at all the pages!!!!

I haven't printed anything..mainly because I want to get a custom font from Darcy and redo a lot of the journaling (a lot of it I want to add some details that I didn't feel comfortable posting online). Then my plan is to sort my pages by year and see what I want to print...I know I have some photos that I've done multiple layouts with so I need to figure out which is my favorite. Since I paper scrapped and didn't do that chronologically either I'll probably print individual layouts for the years that I have paper scrapping for...and then maybe look at getting books done for the years I don't have paper scrapped layouts.

I print at random and I scrap at random. But I have done a couple of books. Those books are arranged chronologically with the layouts I had at the time. I also have albums, one for each boy, one for me, one for family & one for random stuff. Their pages are chronological and often duplicates of some of what are in the books.

I figure by the time the boys are 10 I can probably safely print up a book of their first 7 years & not feel like anything has been left out. They are 6 & 7 now I have pretty much run through their infancy & toddler years. Now I am mostly in the pre-k years.

But the layouts I had printed recently were the first in almost 2 years, apart from a book I made for my dad's 70th birthday
