I know I cannot be the only one

My husband was cutting up some watermelon for a late snack and I was laying down watching tv in the living room (which is actually right next to the kitchen). I could smell the watermelon which aside from pineapple is my favorite snack. I yelled at him if he was cutting some watermelon that I wanted some. He says he cannot smell watermelon and has no idea how I knew he was cutting it just by smelling it because he knew I could not see him. I did just smell it though. So he and my son are saying I have the nose of a bloodhound because watermelon has no scent according to the two of them LOL

Yum!

Did you know that a speckled trout slick smells like watermelon? I swear it! Whenever we are fishing in the bay and get into a school of trout you can get a faint hint of watermelon.

*my useless post of the day*

really? Oh I love it chilled out of the fridge I think. I will eat it warm but prefer it chilled LOL. Like I told him if there was no scent then how do they make watermelon candles? ;)
Sure it does! It's best warm from the sunshine right out of the garden :) and smells wonderful!

lol exactly.. there's watermellon lip balm, and soap, and spray, and shampoo, and candles, and so so many things ^_^ of course it has a smell.

I think I like it best like this b/c it's how we always ate it as kids...my grandfather always planted a huge section of watermelons and he'd pull one right off the vine, cut it open with his pocket knife and we'd eat it right there in the July heat lol. Good memories ya know?

Fairly new around here...but I have to say this brought back so many memories of when my dad grew watermelons one summer. We sold them on the corner and ate them warm all the time. So sweet and delicious.

Those were the days...wish I had pictures from back then. **sigh***

It doesn't have as strong of a scent as pineapple, but it certainly does have a scent. Why else would there be watermelon scented lotions and washes and such.
