David Tennant's last episode as being The Doctor aired here in the States last night. I was never a Dr. Who fan til David, and will now go back to no longer being a Dr. Who fan now that he's gone.

It was a poignant godobye for what most 'season finales' are. It wasn't just boo-hoo sad, but a real look at character and hubris and longing.

Darcy honey you would have died if you lived here in the UK. On the BBC1 channel - the one that has the Dr Who series - between every show during the festive period they had a clip of Mr T walking through the snow, finding that his tardis had crashed in the snow, realising that there wer reindeers standing around and - lightbulb moment - harnessing up his tardis 'sleigh' and flying up through the sky just like santa claus sitting on top of his tardis. I must have watched it about 200 times this holiday :D

here he is looking oh so gorgeous! courtesy of you tube

They showed it here, too, during Waters of Mars, but not those extra little bits at the end (just replace BBC One with BBC America), Love the one of the coat hanging on the shovel!

He's a brilliant actor, and funny as hell too...

LOL wow I was totally lost...thought someone might have died or something...guess it is essentially that way in tv land ... never watched the show. ...so glad to know I wasn't the only one lost with Darcy's initial comments. lol

(((HUGS))) Yep...I get it.

Crystal - yes, it's available on Netflix. It's about a time traveling "time lord" who saves the day. It's a bit campy at times, really sci-fi, but a fun show, and really comes into it's own when David takes over as The Doctor (the guy regenerates when he 'dies' so there have been lots of men who are The Doctor). The new series (there was a version out from the 70-80's that was brought back about 5 or 6 years ago...start with Dr Who: Season 1. David stars in Season 2.

I still have the second part of the episode to watch, but I really don't want to 'cos I obviosly know how it will end.... :(

Did you ever see him in the BBC's Casanova? ...title role naturally :) Its definitely worth finding if you've never seen it. Plus, he reprised his role in Hamlet for the BBC for Christmas - so watch out for that too!

Don't you just love his native Scotish accent ((swoon)).

I used to watch Dr Who as a kid and I'm now 40, so it's funny how it's evolved over the years. I can still remember that old B&W series and the few actors who played the Dr!

And Sara, I just loved Casanova....funny and very quirky indeed
