I have been grounded!!!

I have been such a witch lately--major stress in-law issues, ready to seek legal counciling about the stunts the ex-wife is pulling, sending my husband and little one off to spend 10 days with in-laws, general children crap-not doing anything for themselves and to top it off today an $800.00 medical bill that was unexpected and kinda forced on my by the dentist.

My husband has decided that we need spend more time together. So he has decided that we need to go laptop free 2 days a week...................2 day!!!!
no laptop. I am being unplugged....Will I survive? I am not so sure. So every Friday evening we are going to make time to be with each other. I guess that is ok.................;) but he better not interfer with getting my Reward Points or he will paying!!!!!;)

So how do you release your stress away from your computer with your husband or partner? I have to find things for us to do.

exercise. my absolute favorite thing to do together. ride a bike, go for a walk, play basketball.....or.....indoor sports ;)

I agree about the walks....my hubby works so hard though and then complains when I want to walk or something. He's always too tired, so usually "our" time consits of him picking out some crappy movie and then me having to sit through it so i don't hurt his feelings, lol!

This may be silly, but my husband and I enjoy playing games together. We have board games and card games that we enjoy. I think it takes the pressure off of talking, but you inevitably talk while you play, so it's nice "together" time. :)

I like playing games with hubby too. And we love to watch movies together. One of our fave things is sitting on the balcony with a cup of coffee reading.

Well, I think it's sweet that he WANTS to spend time with you!

Just walk together. With kids, that is something I just cannot do, but I would love to just be able to go out for a walk together in the evening.

hubby and I CANNOT do anything like play board games, cards, mini golf, bowl or any other thing that pits one of us against each other. we get too competitive and I do not take to losing well!!! hehehe.....

We do a lot of movie time and we always go to the grocery store and pick something family frindly and then all cook together. It always turns into lots of fun! i know how you feel about being computer free, I think I would have withdrawals LOL But I think its SO sweet he wants to spend time! Sorry things have been stressful for ya!

I know I would be feeling the same way as you. It is really sweet that he wants to spend time with you though. :) DH and I like to play games sometimes too, we haven't done this in a while but we use to all the time. We actually use to play platstation together too. I get alittle competitive with that game though...and it usually all ends in name calling. ROFL It's all in fun though :)

This is so funny because I often joke with my husband about how much time the two of us spend, side-by-side, on our laptops. We are total computer nerds. LOL!

We are trying to make the effort also, to spend more quality time together. I personally never have to do anything big, I just enjoy watching a movie together, making a "date" to watch a specific show together each week, or cooking dinner together (instead of one of us having their face buried in the laptop). We are just trying to make the effort to spend time together within our normal daily routine, because it's very rare that we actually get to go out.

I think it's sweet :)

Actually when DH is home, we never are on the computer in the evenings...he might get on for a while after work until supper time but after that and once DS is in bed we crash on the couch and watch tv/movie. It's really good to have that time together I think.
