I have an even better idea for DSD next year!

We should all get together and rent out a conference room at a hotel and spend the weekend together shopping and scrapping!!! Would that not be so super fun? Then we could totally handle all the challenges because we would have arranged for childcare for our children, because it is WAY easier to say, I'm going out of town for the weekend, can you watch my kids? instead of saying I want to spend the day at the computer for DSD, can you watch my kids?

So who's in? It would need to be somewhere with a big airport nearby, like Atlanta or Dallas or Chicago, I'd think, so that everyone could fly in easily. Yes, yes, I know this would make DSD extra expensive, but if we started saving now, couldn't we make it work? Have hubby take on an extra job or have your kid get an after school job... ; )

BUT IT WOULD BE SO FUN!

*cough* CHICAGO *cough*

But I'd do Seattle... brother in law lives there, so it would be easy peasy to get hubby to go for it... LOL!!

Ummm, you guys are being difficult.

Maybe we could do several get togethers in different parts of the country?

I vote for Minneapolis. Hey, we've got the Mall of America, too. ;)

I think that's three now. :)

I've totally been thinking about this too. I think it would be so fun! I'm up for pretty much anywhere but I can already tell you you'll never get everyone to agree on one place. :D

*ahem* ROBIN lives in MY STATE. It's gotta be somewhere in AZ. :D (besides... it would help make up for the fact that I have to pay sales tax on my SSD goodies) :p

great idea, Kellie!!! can I tell you how many weird looks I got when I said I want to scrapbook all day and didn't want to have to watch my own kids!

Sacramento!!! Or, you could all come to my house..... I have 2,000 square feet. We can all squeeze in...

I agree!!!! Phoenix is a "Hub" airport ... you can fly in for cheap and there will be ZERO chance of snow/rain/sleet/COLD weather

I have a brother in Minneapolis, a sister in Atlanta, and lots of friends in Tucson (Phoenix would work). Let's do it!

Chicago! C'mon Kellie, remember how great O'Hare airport was? That awesome Starbucks kiosk? The magic of the baggage claim carousels?

I would also entertain the idea of the SoCal area.
And Mall of America is not a bad idea. Is it still no sales tax on clothes there?

Phoenix pretty much ROCKS in November! I would advise the fainthearted to come here in August, but November, man it's gorgeous here.

I agree - dont you wanna come to SSD's homebase?
