I dont know why I was, but I was suprised to see that....what a bunch of dummies ;) I voted for Begich...who knows we could wake up in the morning and Begich could win :)
 
no surprise...sadly they're population holds alot of people who are high or drunk--at least according to my brother--my parents are going to stationed up there for ANOTHER 3 years--they just finished 3 years....this coming month...AND before Katrina--that's where they were---SO 9 Years in Alaska--i'm starting to feel a bit lonely and sad--because my parents have seen my daughter a whole lets see..mom twice and dad---he got off to swap planes in nashville heading to afganistan----so a whole once :( sorry for my ramble...
 
Hmmmm, hadn't heard that yet. How frustrating. I voted for Begich as well. I guess we just have to remember that the villages support Stevens...it's a 'you help me, I help you' system... Sad though, he's slime.
 
From what I hear, the GOP leaders may not let him take his seat. Therefore, I believe it would be up to Gov Palin to choose a replacement.

Rumors are, she may even appoint herself :)

I lived there many years...my dh is still up there working, and I can tell you...it is a different world up there. (which is why my dh works up there and we LIVE in California!) I won't move back up there!!
 
Right now its 48% to 47% in favor of Stevens.

I guess they won't have all the early votes counted for another week or so. UGH! Glad I'm leaving this place in June. :cursing:
