but this time I have no choice. My friends at work have been telling me for 2 weeks that I need to go to the doctor.

But I kept on saying, "No, it's just a cold, I'll be fine."

Now, 2 weeks later, I'm still miserable. Sneezing, coughing, congestion, achy, tired, chest hurting, etc etc etc. sigh...

So, I'm going to the doctor in a couple of hours. Hoping for a miracle drug of some kind because I need some energy. I miss hanging with you guys!
 
I thought you'd been quiet lately, no wonder!

I'm a no dr. kinda person too, so I totally know what you mean. But sometimes our own bodies just need some help. I hope you get some meds and can get back to your old self soon!
 
I'm sorry to hear you're still sick Libby! I know how you feel!!!

Not to be a downer, but I had pretty much the same thing for the last 4 weeks. Went to the doctor twice and they sent me packing with the "it's a virus and has to run its course" line and "drink lots of fluids and get lots of rest". What a joke!!! I'm feeling better now except that I still have a pretty wet cough and my ears are plugged.

I sure hope your doctor can give you something to help you get better quickly!!!
 
Yeah, me too. I hate going to the doctor, especially for stuff like that, but sometimes your body is telling you to raise the white flag. It definitely sounds like you need to get this looked at and probably some bed rest, Libby.

Last time I kept telling everyone they were crazy, I don't need to go to the doctor, I had adult chicken pox. :blink: Not that going to the doctor any earlier would have stopped that from happening but I was definitely much worse off than I wanted to believe, lol.

Sometimes you have to give in. Take care of yourself and I hope you get well asap. :)
 
I sure hope you feel better soon Libby! It's the time of year when everyone is getting something and it stinks. :(

It's really going around this year! Two of my boys are still fighting a croupy cough and are on their second rounds of antibiotics. I just hate it!

Well, after a LONG wait at the doctor (one of the main reasons I don't go very often), I've got an antibiotic and cough syrup. The doctor is thinking possibly bronchitis, but since it's gone on so long, he felt that an antibiotic was in order.

So, here's hoping I can rest tonight!
