how AMAZING the layouts look printed in a shutterfly book! So I was RAK'd an 8x8 shutterfly book by Gina and I used it to make my grandmother a family photo album for her 82nd birthday. I just received it in the mail this afternoon and its AMAZING!! The quality is just so much more than I ever envisioned it would be and I just know that my grandmother is going to LOVE it!
The only down-side? Now I want to start printing ALL of my layouts for my boys' albums. All 100+ of them! lol

OMG!!! i cannot wait to come over and see it and gush over it and then run away into a cave and just look at it over and over and over again. i am sooo happy that it turned out as well as you say!!! yay for grandma naomi! =)
 
Oh no Jenny. I did not need to hear that, LOL! I'm gonna make one that's huuuuuuuuuuuuuge now!!

I'm so glad it turned out awesome for your grandma!!!
 
I got mine today too! :thumbup: I did realize I have to be more careful about putting journaling and elements close to the edge.
 
oh, I love the Shutterfly books! Glad to hear yours turned out well. Your grandmother will love it.

YIPPEEEEE I got my book today too!!!!! I am very impressed with the way it came out as well. The only gripe I have is that some of my layouts are a bit pixely...I know it is my fault completely but I am willing to live with it anyway, it is not that bad........The majority came out just great!!!!!

Liz is actually in Windsor. But we're BFF (lol) and we are together all the time. In fact, we spent the whole afternoon together and now she's coming over after the kids are in bed to see my photobook! :)

have you shown the kids yet? mine wont put it down. I just used random layouts, not theme or order and they are loving looking at how much they have changed - and fighting over who was the baby in some pictures. LOL
 
Oh that's so great the it turned out well! I've been wanting to do one forever but I think I'll have to wait and do them for Christmas gifts since I just spent a fortune on American Crafts albums, LOL!
 
Thats awesoem!! I really want to do one for my kids, kinda like all whimsical layouts in a storybook format! I am so excited to hear yours is so good cause i was thinking of using them to do mine!:thumbup:

Mine were all pixely! But I did love it!
 
I have 5 Shutterfly books and 4 are 8x8...one is 12x12. The person who gifted me the 12x12 warned me about the difference between the two and now I understand what she means. I love both books but will never print 12x12 again....everything looks HUGE. Several things are pixelated too. In 8x8 I've never had any problems whatsoever....I make all of my layouts sized down to 7.75x7.75 and plop them on a blank white 8x8 canvas before uploading though. I'm also careful not to put right sided journaling or titling on a left sided page, kwim? I have been nothing but pleased with my 8x8 books...they are truer to the way we see the pages as we create them and post them into the galleries and Shutterfly has been a good choice for me!
 
I made my parents a 10 Things I Love About You album from my nephew's perspective for Christmas and made my BF a 100 Things I Love About You album for our anniversary. They were both 8 x 8 Shutterfly books and turned out awesome with superfast turnaround time.

Now I need to actually start doing my albums that way! I don't have a single layout printed out that I have gotten to keep! :)
