but only temporarily. Then my hubby with lock me back in the basement.:blink::blink: Help.

Ok, kidding...kinda. Genius man decided that we'd love to spend our week off as a family cleaning out the basement and preparing for a yard sale THIS Saturday. I should metion that my basement is huge, filled to the brim with boxes that never got unpacked when we moved a year ago, plus my 7+ years of teacher stuff....sigh. I want to run away just thinking about it. I'm supposed to be getting lunch ready and taking a shower, but needed to be here more. :p

So, hit me with tips for a good yard sale. I so don't want to price all this stuff. We're getting rid of all of our baby gear (everything), tons of clothes (boy/girl), toys, exercise stuff, electronics, etc. It's going to be huge. And no fun. I need help. Please.

Jennifer - I never enjoyed going to yard sales when things weren't priced nor do I enjoy having to answer the question 500 times about what an object is priced at.

Something my step mom does at her big sales is a box of toys or a box of kids' clothes of the same season/size/gender @ $5 box. It's closed, so it's like a grab bag of sorts, but she's done well with that.

We always had a box of the crap toys, the ones you can't sell, but don't want to just throw away - and some grocery bags, and let kids fill them for .25

At the end of the day (and do it fairly early if you want to be done fast), post an everything is free sign with your leftovers, and watch it disappear :) (that can be a great thing!)

We're getting rid of all of our baby gear (everything)

So now I expect to see you pregnant within the next 6 months! Weren't you just asking about having a 3rd?? This was true for me and a couple of my friends -- we gave away everything having to do with a baby (baby gear and maternity stuff), and then got pregnant w/ #3. So watch out!!! :)

Yep. Would totally be just right for my luck, lol. We're getting rid of it all, too...maternity, newborn, all the gear...so yeah.

If you find a good way to store all that teaching stuff let me know! I "retired" after teaching for 9 years and I have a crawl space and basement filled to the brim with all of it!!! We also have a room in the basement filled with all that baby stuff...neither one of us want to get rid of it b/c we know what will happen if we do!!!

Good luck!!
