he is sick and throwing up. he is hungry and his tummy is growling but he cant' even swallow a spoonful of anything right now. we just tried some applesauce. he is begging for food and he just can't have anything now. i hate it when my kids are sick

Big HUGS to your little one....That darn flu bug is making the rounds it seems....My Grandson had been sick from Friday through to this morning with some kind of bug....He wasn't throwing up, but probably 'cause he wasn't eating and he barely drank anything....We were lucky he would drink the juice from freeze pops....He is better now, but has a slight rash on his belly and back....

Oh, hope he feels better soon! It's so hard to watch them feel so miserable.

Rachel was sick a few months ago...vomiting up EVERYTHING...the doctor wrote us a prescription for suppositories to stop it (and come to find out they're sold OTC...wish I'd known and saved the money from that dr trip LOL). As soon as she got the first one, the vomiting stopped, but we kept her on popsicles and Icees for a while...the only thing we could get her to drink with her throat hurting.

I agree about the suppositories! That was the only thing that helped me when I was having a gallbladder attack and the gallbladder test came back negative and they didn't know what was wrong with me.

Also, we just tried something my mil told me about...3 of us were sick with the flu and went to the pharmacy (one had it and one didn't) and bought Fleets Cola Syrup. It tastes like really thick Coca Cola without the bubbles. It did definitely help my stomach.

Crackers were the only thing I was able to keep down during the flu....but that was with using the cola syrup.

Good luck....I hope he gets better quick...

I agree with the popsicle suggestion. When I had food poisoning and could not keep anything down, I was still SO thirsty and sucking slowly on ice really helped. So, for kids, popsicles would probably help give them at least something to eat/drink.
