Seriously, you neglect your garden for two measly little months and the weeds think they can just take over. And most of them were those dang prickly weeds!

Anyone else a black thumb like me?? Thank god for my MIL because the gardens at this house are spectacular & it'd be a shame for me to kill all of them.

Yep that's what my garden looked like until about a week ago. I was so clueless that I didn't even know that most of the "plants" in my garden were weeds.

yup. black thumb here too. i killed a cactus and that was when i gave up officially.

Well shame on those pesky weeds.
Kudos to you though, at least your garden was planted. We didn't make it past tilling this year. My backup plan? Raiding my dad's massive garden.

Wow - those are some tall weeds Sara! I spent a good 1/2 hr last night pulling weeds. It's amazing how fast they sprout up. Weeds suck.

Oh - my mom shared a trick with me on an easier way to pull up weeds. Wet the ground - the soil becomes loose so it's easier to pull them up Yes - you end up getting a bit dirtier but you don't have to pull quite as hard!

We have been having tons of rain the last 2 days and my veggie garden is GREEN...with weeds! Ugh!! My veggies are in there somewhere too...I am hoping my mom will help me rescue them when she comes here this week. I can't weed very long with my (still bum) knee, and hubby just looks at it, complains, and walks away.

I killed an air plant. Seriously.

However, when we move next year, I am determined to plant a garden. My dad gardens and my brother is a landscaper, so seriously, I should be able to pull this off. We'll see.

Oh man, I would LOVE those weeds in our yard. Our 4 tortoises eat nothing but weeds and grass and so we rarely have any around that look that nice and healthy, they always gets picked for food pretty early.
