Apparently I am a dumbo..
So I'm setting up the tank today right.. I have the old stick on one from when it housed fishies.. that's fine.. but I know it's inaccurate as far as mr lizard will be concerned. So I bought one of those probe ones- as every site I read recommended them.. and I also got a humidity one and a 2nd thermometer (which I didn't think I needed but eh.. extra doesn't hurt) in the set with the UTH.. anyway.................. I don't get the probe. I mean I get it.. in theory.. but I have nothing TO probe. I just got some reptile carpet.. so I keep poking it with the end of the thing LOL.. I even stuck it to the side so it was dangling in .. but wth is the point of that? that's no different than that 2nd thermometer that I can attach to the side (it's metal and like an actual thermometer .. not like the actual STICKER one from fish times)..
Am I doing something wrong? LOL.. am I SUPPOSED to be sticking my hand in there and poking at things? I'm assuming that everything I read was thinking you'd use sand.. and sand is no bueno with bebe geckos.
