So, I was having problems with the cookie template and asked for help which I got. The problem wasn't the template it was ME. Told you I was a dummy. 
I wasn't activiting the layer by hitting the CTL + Layer key AND at the top of my palate bar was a layer titled "DELETE" which of course was to delete the word "PHOTO" from my photo once I got it in there. Unfortunately the next time I go to use a template I won't remember all this even though it is written down and printed out. Now all I have to do is get it uploaded which I will do later. Have to go fix dinner.
