I could really use some positive thoughts and prayers....

I really thought that it would eventually get easier but it has not.

It's been 18 months since my husband was diagnosed with Cancer. Thank God they were able to remove the entire tumor.

But due to the rarity of his cancer the oncologist requires a full body PET/CT scan every six months to check for any signs of cancer.

Today is his scan.

It would normally be a really hard day for me because the anxiety (or scan-xiety) just overwhelms me. but tack on that ELijah has apparently given up sleep for good, I am just exhausted. he was up crying from midnight to three am.

So my ability to cope is just gone and I'm really anxious about this scan.

I'd appreciate any good thoughts or prayers you could throw my husband's way. We'll get the results at his oncology appt on thursday.

I'll be praying for you today.

Cancer is hard. My mom has to go in ever 6 months for scans as well and there is always anxiety surrounding it.

Everything is so much harder to deal with on no sleep. I'll pray for you to be filled with peace today and for your husband's scan to go well and good news to be received on Thursday.

Hugs Alisa! I hope everything will go well with the scan. And, I hope you'll be able to get some good sleep soon!

I can only imagine how hard that must be, even more-so with no sleep. Lots of thoughts & prayers for you and your family. {{hugs}}

Wishing you all the very best today. I know when you are totally worn down like that its hard to stay positive but your husband really needs you to be right now. Hang in there and know we are all here thinking of you.

With you on this - Nev is 18 months post surgery as well and every check is like reliving it all over. Thinking of you

Monica's right--cancer is hard no matter how deep your involvement or how near/far the healing is. My mom had it. Praying for you and your husband today, Alisa.

Hugs and deep breaths Alisa - just make it through today, tomorrow things will be easier - wishing you SLEEP tonight and perfect results for your husband.

hugs to you!
just remember the scan is a tool they use to keep him in the best health possible. You should be more worried if they didnt do it.

Praying for peace for you, good results for your husband's tests, and sleep for you and your little one.

He got out of the scan around 12:15. Now we're in the waiting period before we get the results on thursday.

I hate the waiting, it so truly sucks.
