I can't scrap LOL

Rae has decided that 5:45 AM is a good time to get up in the morning. I don't agree LOL. I usually scrap in the nights after the kids go to bed, but lately, because of her early bird waking, I'm just TOO tired! I haven't even opened my lap top the past couple of days.

I know it's just the light coming in her window super early so she thinks it's time to get up, but OMG I need some sleeeeeeep, so I can scrap! Sheesh, doesn't she realize she's interfering with my scrapping time? LOL

Scrap in the morning, when she gets up early...That is when I get my most scrapping done!
Early morning...
Sorry you aren't getting your sleep Jamie!

You could look into getting a shade that blocks out that light, so she won't see the sunlight in the morning, :) We have one and it works like a charm, :)

I'm sorry, that's awful! I totally hear you. My little ones have both been getting up earlier and earlier - which stinks because I used to scrap in the morning, and either I or DH works on the computer at night... so now I get sometimes an hour of nap time in the afternoon, but that's not enough! :) I hope things turn around for you soon! Just remember, in June the days start getting shorter again! Think of it as more natural light for great photos before then....

I'm with you, Jamie. I scrap much better at night. I LOVE my quiet time at night when I'm the only one awake.

My kids get up early, too, but I nap with them in the afternoon when I really wanna stay up late. hope you find a way to keep that kiddo in bed!

Ugh, that is horrible. My youngest is doing that too. For some reason if the son is up he thinks everyone should be up. We have even tried keeping him up later at night and that doesn't even do it. Sorry you are not getting your sleep or scrapping done.

Oh that stinks! We made a little bed on the floor for my 3 year old and she knows if we're still in bed and she wakes up, she has to lay there. Works like a charm!

Oh boy I am having the opposite problem! The kids, well namely Noah has been waking up at least twice a night. The kid slept better as a newborn I swear! Its usually the time I have to scrap so there always seems to be a half finished project sitting in photoshop!

I need a nap. Yawn! She's been getting up in the night time as well....I wonder what's up with all of this? And she's not tired in the day time, she still bounces off the walls all day.

HUGS J! I know whenwe had early waking problems with one of the boys, we made the rule that there was no getting up before 7 am. So they could lay in bed awake or play in their room or whatever, but there was no TV, no going downstairs and no waking Mom! LOL! It worked, to this day they know to go back to bed if I say so.

Oh no! My kids are usually really good but when they do wake up too early they usually just play quietly with the toys in there rooms.

Yeah, my kids have started getting up at 6:30 too...they know that if they're up, they are to quietly play in the living room until I get up. Mason has learned how to work the remote for the satellite and knows which channels his favorite shows are on (he's 5, lmao...it's amazing, really, what they learn), so he'll turn on the TV and turn down the volume for him and his sister to watch.

Kristen has been doing that since she was 3! LOL It's funny though, Kaylee (who is almost 3) has no clue how to work that stuff. Kristen is just more advanced than she is.

Both of my girls get up early, usually around 6, sometimes before then. Kristen has been doing it since she was 2 1/2 so she knows to be quiet in the living room but Kaylee I don't trust at all, and I don't trust Kristen to watch what she is doing, so sometimes it's an early morning for me.

I just scrap while the girls are awake.

My other two can look at the clock, and if it says anything before 7:00 they know not to get up. But Rae is too little to do that, she has NO concept of time LMAO!

I am so tired. Tin foil sounds like a good idea. Or some medication. LOL

can you rearrange the room with the bed on the window wall? That might help some

If anyone figures out the secret to making them sleep later, clue me in! My 2 year old is usually up by 6, possibly because he hears DH getting up and ready for work. He's content to stay in his crib and play for a while if DH puts some toys in, but when he gets up that early he can't make it through the day without 2 naps (partly due to low muscle tone). If he takes 2 naps he sleeps terribly and is up several times during the night. The worst, though, is the days he wakes by 3 or 4 am and won't go back to sleep. I'm a night owl who stays up late scrapping, so those days I only get 2 or 3 hours of sleep and am almost too tired to function. Aaah!
