DS is upstairs...in his room...playing alone!!! He's been up there for 20 minutes and I don't think he has realized that I'm not there lol. This is big..he won't EVER go up to his room and play without me. I was up there sorting clothes and packing away stuff he's outgrown and I came downstairs when I was done and he just stayed up there...I'm amazed and it is soo nice to have 20 minutes where he is entertained without wanting me to entertain him lol. I think he just realized there are a ton of toys up there he never plays with b/c he won't go up there. Anyway...it probably won't last but yay!

He's 3 1/2...he used to do this all the time in our old house when he was younger and he's always played well on his own...it's just the past few months that he's been so clingy with me and won't let me out of his sight...I'm sure DH being gone is behind that. But right now it's nice.

Good for him! L.J. played in MY room all morning while I was cleaning up in the surrounding rooms. I'm sure I won't be able to find anything I go to look for in there tonight. LOL

Yep, my 3.5 year old is starting to do this more and more -- mainly because he doesn't want his little brother to wreck his Lego or block creations! :)

I can't get Keira to play in her room for the life of me. I even try to bribe her.

I'm so worried with all her little toys on the floor, Cooper will be crawling soon and I really want to move all her stuff upstairs.

I'm jealous Nikki!

mine are older but I remember those days. Unfortunately with mine if they were quiet for more then 10 or 15 minutes I would get nervous and have to go look to see what they were up to because they usually were up to something.
