Did you read Flergie’s newsletter?
I just so chock about this terrible new.
She write: «*Sorry for such a delay, but this morning I woke up to the most terrible news. We have lost a member of our Sweet Shoppe family today. My friend Amber Shaw who I have worked with for 5 years & am honoured to call my friend too, passed away along with her husband & son in a tragic house fire. My heart broke when I read the sad news this morning. This is such a tragedy. May they rest in peace.

Cheryl posted it on her facebook. I just can't believe it. I've followed her for years. I just pray for her children that survived. May they heal and know she'll always watch over them.

Such Heart Breaking news. :( I cant even come up with words for this as it sinks in, but My thoughts and well wishes definitely go out to their families.

I have no words....it is terribly sad and heartbreaking. Sending her family love and prayers

Heartbreaking and truly horrible news :(
Prayers for family and friends. Great loss to us here at SSD.
I still can't wrap my head around the fact that she is no longer here with us :(

Is there something we can do to help support her other children/family?

I was a fan of Amber’s, even though I haven’t been very active in the past while, I still keep shopping and admiring on Facebook. Its so tragic, and I wanted to send all of my love to everyone who cared about her. Robin, please let us know if there’s anything we can do.

I’m still in shock and incredibly heartbroken, Amber was my longest running team her and I chatted often about anything and everything. It was her who gave me my desire to scrap again back. She will be forever missed and always loved :(

Our Sweet Shoppe family is absolutely devastated. We truly prayed all night that this wasn’t real because it just couldn’t be true. Broken doesn’t even begin to describe the pain.

I'm so sorry. I emailed her once and she was very nice. Prayers and thoughts for her family and everyone who knew her in real life.

It's so sad. My heart and prayers are with family, friends and those that mourn.
Some of Amber's designs were what first brought me to the Digi scrap community. She will be missed greatly.

I was shocked when I heard the news. Such a huge tragedy! :crying:
She was one of my favorite designers and I'm thankful for her designs. She made my memories a whole lot more beautiful to look back at.
I wish everybody who was close to her and her family all the love, strength and courage to bear this loss.

I think of this terrible tragedy all day long... I feel like I did a nightmare and that finally it's not true... But I realise it is true.
I can't say I know her as a friend but I really love her amazing work, she was really talentued and she was always nice and sweet when she answered mail or in the forum. I red about her lovely kids and all she was doing for them...
When I red Meg's newsletter this morning I had to read it about 5 time as my English isn't perfect, I wish I had misunderstood...
I hope that I can do something, help in a way or another her two kids and her family especially.
Robin, as some other members asked: how can we help?
I still pray and send all my thoughts to her family, this tragic new is so difficult, I miss words.

I feel so lost. She was my go to person, I talked to her more than anyone in my life. She's the one I'd go to about anything & everything :(

I am truly sorry to hear about such a loss. I am and was a fan, I looked forward to her kit with Studio Flergs. Such talent. Such a tragedy. Please let me know if there is anything we can do to help the family during this time. Everyone will be in my prayers.

What a tragedy! I'm so sad for her family, losing 3 of them at once. She will be so missed as part of the digiscrapping community, too. :(

:crying: :crying: :crying: really sad for this new. Praying for her loved ones in this time of sadness...

I am so sorry.
I did a little digging because I felt as if I needed to do something. I found a gofundme page set up for her family. I read a few of you said "what can we do"

Thank you so much for having such a sweet and caring heart and wanting to help do something for Amber's family.

I removed the link for the gofundme ONLY because we at SSD haven't been able to confirm that it's a legitimate option with the funds going to help Amber's family right now. Once we can confirm the source, we'll happily share the link, too. <3

I promise we are doing everything we can to try to find a way that we can all help. We're all so broken and devastated, and we just feel helpless.

I'm so sorry I didn't even think it wasn't legitimate. I followed the link from her blog. It didn't even cross my mind that it might not be real.

No reason to apologize at all! It probably IS legit, but we are just being extra cautious because we want to make sure that any funds we collect as a site go to help her 3 children.
