I am tired of waiting.....

Today I am already three days overdue.....and still waiting. And I am tired of it. All I can do is sit on the couch and watch some tv. And I started to crochet. Because scrapping is too hard. I can't sit at my desk for more than 30 minutes.

Today I have a new appointment with the gyn, and I kinda hope he will be talking about inducing maybe. All around me I see people getting induced because they are tired and things. I have to say I still feel ok, but my world is so small at the moment, just because I fear getting out by myself. What if my water brakes in the supermarket and I am alone? Chances are so small but still.

I am just so curious how our little man looks like....

Hang in there Leontine. I know it's hard at this stage of the pregnancy. I was a week late with my first, and that was no fun at all. Surely your little man will be here any day now. Can't wait to see your first pics. :)

There are things you can try to induce labor yourself...spicy foods, walking, being intimate with your husband. And I am sure many more besides those. But if this is your first baby it is totaly normal to go over your due date.

Aww, this part is the roughest. I was sitting on an exercise ball that last week and we still had to induce our first a week later. Hang in there!

Awwww...I totally remember that feeling. My daughter was 12 days overdue. Hang in there! He'll be here soon!

I know the feeling. I was 9 days overdue with my first, 8 with my second, and 3 with my third. Those are the worst days! Hang in there, Leontine! You're almost there!

Hang in there! I know it's rough!!! I was 4 days overdue with my first and 10 with my baby. My boys are just momma's boys and didn't want to leave me, lol!

My son was 7 days overdue. Each day I cried. I was induced because they didn't want to wait over a week... I was sooo relieved but looking back I wish I had waited longer for labor to start naturally! Just remember that a due date is mostly an estimate... perhaps he's really not "due" until Tuesday? ;) I feel your pain though!!! My mom took me for manicure & pedicure that week and it really helped make me feel better. Treat yourself to something special and remember... now is the time to sleep and relax. :D

Oh, hang in there!! Hopefully he will come on his own in the next little while!! I hear labor is so much better when they come on their own. I was induced and ended up in a c-section. :( Best of luck and lots of come-on-baby thoughts to you!! :D Can't wait to see the little guy!!

i know the feeling! my first was one week overdue, and my second a full two weeks (we finally induced her ...) - i know you are SO ready and excited to see his face, but try to enjoy the last few moments of quiet and rest (even though it's not so easy to rest when you are so big, i know!) - good luck :)

*HUGS* Your little dude will be here soon, and I promise, when you hold him for the first time, all of this waiting will be SO worth it!! You are doing GREAT!!!!

Thanks ladies.....you are all so right.
I had my app.today and no actions yet. He was willing to strip me but we finally decided not to do it and wait. It's only three days so far.

Feet massages...

Hope you'll get to meet your little boy soon, Leontine!

Aww, I know how you feel. I went 3 days over on my second (even though my first was right on time), and it's awful to have to wait. But it will be worth it. Enjoy the time by yourself while you can, lol.

I was induced and labor took forever. I would let it come naturally if you can, it is healthier for both you and the baby in most cases. Will be sending PTs your way for a fast, easy delivery to happen soon! :)

This end part is the WORST part of pregnancy..hugs girlie!
I totally agree! For me it was the combination of a) being so excited to meet my kids that I just couldn't bear waiting any longer and b) I was just done with being pregnant. Like, stick-a-fork-in-me done. I was swollen and uncomfortable and tired and just wanted to get it over with. Luckily (for me) my ob sent me for induction the day after my due date. Both times. lol I have heard being induced makes labor much more intense though.

I'll be thinking about you Leontine and hoping your little guy decides he's ready to meet the world really soon. Can't wait to see pictures. :)

Babies have their own timetable! I was induced a week early, mainly because DH is a truck driver, and I have no family nearby. I didn't want to go into labor with him out-of-state and nobody to call but his ex-wife.
But if I'd had other options, I'd have waited...it was a very long labor (40 hrs & 3 hr delivery). It's just so much easier on your body if it comes naturally.
You'll get there...just try to rest as much as you can now!

Hugs Leontine! I know how it feels... But like Lories says, being induced is often more painful than giving birth naturally. I needed a hand with both of my pregnancies (my water wouldn't break) and boy, I went into labor very hard right away! So try to be patient! Very soon you will meet your little boy!

Thanks girls.....I am pretty happy most of the time. I watch the Olympics, do some crocheting, go out for a walk. But I also have some bad moments now and then. Then I cry and it doesn't seem to stop anymore. My husband leaves for work every day a little nervous not knowing what will happen today. For him it's also a pretty exciting ofcourse.

But, we will coop......I hope to show some cute photos soon.

I hope the little one shows up soon for you!! Think of it as a little bit of bonus quiet time! :)

Have Mercy......I am still waiting ;-)
Today I have a new app. I hope they will strip me and I will probably get a date for inducing me. I am really done with being pregnant now. I want my baby boy.....

Thinking of you these days Leontine. Yay for tomorrow!

I'd say one more things: REST REST REST! :)

Yay! That's exciting. I hope things go really well, and I can't wait to see pics of your sweet baby!
