I am now the proud owner of a Canon Rebel XSi!!! I don't have it yet, but we ordered it yesterday!!! It is supposed to be here the day before my bday!!! I can't wait!! Boy do I have so much to learn about them!!! Anyhoo, I just had to share!

Yeah with them still being really new, they are up there more! But I got the go ahead from hubby and I went for it! LOL!! Hope you get yours soon!!
 
Congrats...you are gonna LOVE it and you really will have a ball learning to use it!! Besides reading your manual from front to back :D I really recommend the book Understanding Exposure, it's a book for any and all (D)SLR camera and it really will help you to start learning all about the basics for this wonderful thing called photography!!!
 
Awesome! Happy early birthday to you. I have a Canon Digital Rebel also (but an XT) and I learn a little bit more about it every day. Have fun when it gets there!

Congrats Becca!! That's so exciting! Did you order the kit lens too?

I have the XTi so let me know if you have any questions - I've had a nice long learning curve with mine since I got it in November, LOL! :D

Thanks Trude!! I got the kit lens that it came with and am looking to see what other lens I want to shoot for first! LOL!! I will def be having LOTS of questions! LOL!

I used the kit lens for about 7 months and then I got the Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II Camera Lens for $90 bucks in April and I haven't put my kit lens back on my camera I love it THAT much!!! I was told by so many people that it's a great "first" lens and none of them lied!!! :thumbup:
 
Oooh you lucky girl! That's the one I covet! Let us know how much you love it so I can drool on my keyboard LOL. I hope I can save enough to get one soon, it's hard with these darned gas prices and cost-of-living increases though:blink: .
