I am pretty sure I read somewhere that she has some serious back pain because of some sort of injury or condition of something like that and has to take strong pain killers. I would imagine when it is hurting her a lot she needs more..I dunno, I feel sorry for her having to live with such pain and to be honest I find her rather charming! lol

Paula has Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy (aka Complex Regional Pain syndrome). It's rare but real. I have to tell you, if it's half as bad as what I've read about it, I would be helping the woman find pain medications. I've got my fair share of medical issues that plague me day in and day out, but none like what she's going through.

This was my thought too. She's actually attempting to use complex sentence structures. Granted, it usually backfires, but the attempt takes more cognitive ability than she's demonstrated in the past.
