Ouch! I got more sun than I thought this weekend when I had my yard sale! I've been a back sleeper since I had the girls, and last night I had to sleep flat on my stomach  Here's a pic of my front - my back is way worse! I've been walking around the house with my straps stuck down in my shirt because even if I line them up with the strap marks from this weekend it still hurts :crying:

I'm such a baby lol. I'm usually super pale, so this totally sucks. I got it bad!

Soak up some white vinegar onto bath towels... and lay them over your sunburned areas.. it might tingle a bit, but leave it there for about 30 mins or so... it will take out the pain and some of the redness as well.

oh yikes! i'm looking the same right now. we went swimming 3 days in a row and though i put on soooo much sunscreen, i'm still bright red. it's so painful for us pale girls!

Sounds like we better get stocked up on white vinegar for all of us pale girls this Summer!
I'm pale and so is my daughter. She just spent last weekend soakin in vinegar towels, lol!

Ouchie!

The bummer part for me is that I burn and peel.. I don't tan at all afterwards... so I get nothing out of the pain! lol

Ouch! I've luckily avoided a bad burn so far, but I saw this on Pinterest and bookmarked it for the next time I'll for sure need it. If you have black tea that's all you need. Here's the link.

I hate sunburns. Being a pale redhead, I've had my fair share of them. I hate getting burned. We bought some after sun care lotion with aloe that also has lidocaine in it. It really makes a difference in the pain. Of course, straight aloe lotion from the plant is awesome if you can get your hands on it.

Ouch Ouch Ouch!!!!

I have such the farmer tan going on right now!! My arms are getting soooo dark but the rest of me is pale white!!!! I spend all my waking hours at the baseball or soccer field!! LOL

This is so me. I'll be back to pale when this fades lol. Dh on the other hand, got crispy burnt while painting his brothers house, and now he's beautifully browned of course.

Thanks for all the well wishes! lol, I'm getting ready to go to bed, but I'm going to have to check out some of your suggestions in the morning!!

Yeah......another pasty girl with a love/hate relationship with the sun checking in. LOL I looked just like you a week ago and it took less than an hour to get that way. EEEK. I hope your burn gets feeling better soon! ((gentle hugs))

i'm the same way! burn and peel...burn and peel...over and over. it's quite frustrating :( i've never heard of vinegar soothing a burn though! i'll have to go look into that. vinegar might just become my new summertime BFF.

It is sooo frustrating indeed! I'm older now, so Im starting to just accept my pasty-white-ness! lol I now just figure this is who I am... this is how the good man above made me, I have to accept it and move on - and hand out sunglasses to everyone who passes by me when I have shorts on :-)

Vinegar pulls out the heat. It's best to do it immediately when you are sunburned, no need to go to bed in pain! Also if I do the vinegar long enough and soon enough (within the first couple days) then I don't peel usually either. I grew up having to do this ... I would lay on the kitchen tile floor while my parents layered me with vinegar soaked bath towels. I'd have a pillow and just go to sleep... hahaha! Now I do it to my kids. Works well for us.
Stinks a little, but it works.
