at these birds outside my window! This little chimney sweep family built their nest in the corner of our front porch and I've been watching them tend to it for a few months now. Well the babies were born a couple of weeks ago and they are now so big and fat that they literally cannot all fit in the nest,...2 of them have had to perch themselves along this little ledge next to them but they WILL NOT try to fly. For 2 days now the mama and daddy bird have been flying in and out chirping at them and obviously trying to get them to take off but they won't budge. It is really getting hilarious b/c every morning I expect them to be gone and they're still there. I think the 2 parents are starting to get annoyed lol! I have never seen any stay this long in their nest!
 
LOL! Aren't birds funny?! We had some robin's like that right outside of our window. It was super fun to watch though! Those babies just get really comfy I think! :D :D :D
 
I snapped a pic..they sure have made a mess up there and not to mention the mess on my porch with them pooping all over the place! but you can see 3 of them..the other is behind them all and the nest is just about flattened..it is so funny!

wow they are some big birds. Im surprised they havent flown off yet. I was outside the other day and heard a bird just chirping away and looked up and saw this little tiny bird (Im not sure what it was) and then a big bird of some type starts to fly in and the little bird flies after him going crazy and the big one flew off like it was afraid of the small one
 
I suppose this is the equivalent to the 40 yr old still living in his parents house. LOL!! I can just hear the mommy and daddy birds yelling at them to get their lazy butts outta the nest!!
 
Thats so funny! I love watching birds - they are pretty crazy!

Once my grandpa and I were watching this bird bringing sticks/string/leaves into his little bird house. Then all of a sudden he flew away, and brought back his mate. She went in, and then came out right away - chirping and flapping her wings, and then flew away. I SWEAR to you, the little boy bird hung his head, lol. Then he went into his house and started taking everything out! We laughed SO hard because we knew that his mate told him that his nest sucked, haha!!
 
that's really funny and those are some fat birds! Time to leave the nest! LOL

I have an old bird house in the front yard and it has some babies in it. Here's a picture from last week of the mommy feeding the babies. Not the greatest but I did catch one shot that's ok. The mommy bird would squak at me from a tree limb if I got too close. But if I stepped back a few steps she would fly onto the house to feed the birds.
