i am confused re: Yahoo ID and IM

Well I'm thinking that I don't want to use Goober or Qnext. Can I just use Yahoo IM? If everyone else is getting Yahoo IDs?

I have had the Yahoo Messenger forever! I used to play canasta and spades...my name there is damsel_in_sweats.

I have a brand new laptop, like less than a month old, and got the blue screen of death TWICE in one day. I promptly deleted Hello and Goober, I'm not taking any chances.

I have Yahoo, but I forget my sign in name it's been so long since I used it, I'll set it up again and let you all know!
 
I wonder if that's the reason I've been getting the blue screen too...not often, but often enough! Maybe I will uninstall Goober and just use YIM. I can always try that jing thing for screenshots. Nothing is as easy as Hello though :(

Mine is becomfy.

The nice thing about Yahoo is people with Gooder, Qnext or Trillian can still chat with YIM users & share photos even if the YIM users don't have those programs
 
Yep, you can just use YIM and if someone uses one of the wrappers (Qnext, Trillian or Goober, or any of the other ones) you can still talk to them as long as they have Yahoo ID's too.

Please add me because if I don't have you in my Yahoo address book already, Qnext won't let me add you, lmao...I can't figure it out without logging out of Qnext, opening up Yahoo, adding everyone and then going back.
 
Mine is My3hens I just reinstalled it actually I had ditched it for Hello some time ago but Im thinking Im in denial and need to get SOMETHING before Hello is gone. Oh well what can ya do right lol!

Not sure what I'm gonna use. I don't quite understand using Yahoo through Qnext.
 
I'm sticking with yahoo and goober. Qnext confused me so I uninstalled it. Maybe we'll get lucky and they won't really make Hello stop working...........
 
Okay, this is the FOURTH chatting program I've installed this year. The THIRD one I've installed in the last week. Uggghhhh

I'm pbumbaca (I don't even think I need to type it anymore I'm so original).

I've been using QNext and knock on wood no issues yet.

Col, all you have to do to get your other messengers in there is add your logins in the Connections Wizard under tools I think. I know it was pretty simple once I figured it out. I have my MSN, IM, Yahoo, and Qnext IDs all in one window so it's cool.
