Hybrid Gurus . . . How Would You Repurpose These?

Excuse the junky phone pic . . .

I have a bunch of these bottles--and more coming into my house all the time (they come with Ian's medication, so about three bottles a month). I can't really think of a use for them, but they are nice, sturdy bottles, and I think it's a shame to just throw them out. But, seriously, I'll be overrun with them before long if I don't think of a good way to use them. They've only had water in them, so there are no worries about any kind of contamination. They are about 4" tall and have a 5.5" diameter, although they are oval, not round.

So, tell me, what would you do with these beauties?

could you fill them with m&m's then wrap them with paper and add a label with something funny about the candy having medicinal purposes?

you could also spray paint them. i think they have spray paint that works on plastic.

That IS a good idea! Thanks Celeste! If anyone else has other ideas, I'd love to hear them as well. This is a long-term thing for us, so I'll have plenty of bottles. :)

How about making your own vanilla extracts for gifts? I thought I saw something on pinterest...

You guys rock! Thanks for those links! I had thought of stuff for VTing gifts too, Jacinda. So, those little tags would be perfect. I had even thought of using them for my kids V-day treats at school in February, but there's no way I'll have that many bottles by then. Maybe next year. :) And, I'll definitely give that vanilla idea a shot too. How fun!

ETA: LOL. Won't be doing the vanilla thing -- vodka -- not on my list of things to ever purchase ever. LOL.

What about putting small things in them that you wouldn't want small children to get. Like pins, safety pins, buttons, nuts, screws, etc.

You need a Russian mother-in-law... lol! ;) I've heard of people using glycerin and water instead of the alcohol... so maybe a google search with get you a recipe?
