humidity/air conditioning & camera lenses

Obviously I know the moisture is no good for a camera but when you take a camera from an air conditioned house in a normal temperature like 76 to 90's outside with high humidity is there a way to keep the lens from fogging over?

I've heard to put your camera and lens in a gallon-sized bag to take it out. Let it sit for a little bit before you take it out and use it.

tonight there were deer down the path from our house which I wanted to get pictures of. But having that moisture form in there makes me worry it might cause damage. I live in Fl. though so it is hard to not deal with humidity and the camera being taken from a cooler environment to warmer/more humid

oh thats right I forgot you were in florida too. sucks. I guess those who go out from a warm environment into snow deal with it to though. Or maybe not LOL
