How's Bree doing?

I have to call her today, but I know a *bit* more. There haven't been much for new developments, things are mostly the same as they were the last time I updated. Things are just taking way longer than expected.

She's going to be in the hospital for a few days more (no surprise there!)... it will be 3 weeks on Tuesday! She's going to have to have another, more intensive surgery it seems. All this time, the bile was collecting in "pockets" and staying together, which made it easy to drain. But now, the bile is breaking up, and instead of collecting in 1 or 2 main areas, its ALL OVER inside. So they are going to have to open her up and go "fishing" for bile to clean it out. I think that the bile has finally stopped leaking into her body, so I *think* we're looking at an end fairly soon. BUT with the extra surgery, she's going to be in the hospital even longer.

She's frustrated, depressed, lonely, scared... a million different things all at once!! I'll keep you updated when I know some more!
 
goodness poor bree :( :( Is she in the edmonton hospital now?? Gosh.. it just is ridiculous.

Just let her know we are thinking of her!!
 
Oh, poor Bree! Let her know we're still thinking of her and we're all hoping she gets better soon. We miss her!
 
Lots of love to her & her family. Its so tough being stuck in hospital so long, even when you know its where you have to be.
 
Poor Bree! What an ordeal this has been. I just can't imagine. Send her huge {{{{{{{HUGS}}}}}}}
 
Poor Bree! That's such a long time to be hurting and away from your family. I hope she's fully recovered soon!

Yes, she's in the Royal Alexandra Hospital on Kingsway in Edmonton. They are taking much better care of her there than in Westlock!
 
That poor girl needs a laptop and a way to talk to us!! I cannot believe such a simple operation (if I remember it correctly it was the same one I had) got so botched up! Poor thing!
